So, they're still mis-leading people!

Further to my earlier post, I managed to get through to my bank this morning and they had already received a number of other calls regarding MedicAnimal. The outcome is that they are going to send out some forms for me to complete to get the ball rolling to see if they can get my money back for me.
I did find an article from April this year on Business Sale's website indicating that MedicAnimal was going to be auctioned. I'm unsure if this has any bearing on the current situation - one would assume not.
I checked Due Dil's website to see what status MedicAnimal (Kokoba) currently have and they show as still being 'Active' rather than, for instance 'Liquidation'. Companies House is still showing them as 'Active' as well with their next set of accounts due 30/09/2015 - should make interesting reading for someone!
I will post back in due course the outcome of my form filling exercise but, as I paid by debit card, I am not hopeful. What I find particularly scandalous is the raft of 15% off vouchers that were available the day before they went bust. To my mind they were clearly trying to get good people to part with money at the last minute, knowing what was going to happen the day after. That, for me, is fraud. I don't understand how it can be legal.0 -
As a competitor, we've been watching their profile closely. They are still technically active, but given the length of time they have not been trading for, it is increasingly unlikely that the existing company will be retained.0

As a new user, I'm unable to post links but I've just tweeted a link to an article from Retail Week that Kokoba have filed a notice of intention to appoint administrator on July 31st. See #medicanimal0

If you pop in MedicAnimal into your search engine and scroll down a look out for ....
"Pet Supermarket parent files notice of intention to appoint administrator" in Retailweek, you will find a write up on it all........
"Users on Moneysavingexpert.com said products bought in the last week have not been delivered and the phone lines are also down, while emails are going unanswered."0 -
This might be what Moira's referring to

I wonder if anyone else is having problems?
I placed an order last week, Tuesday I think for some catfood via their web-site. To date, I have not received a dispatch notice so decided to query.
First of all, their web-site seems to be down. Then on calling their customer service number I just got an automated message to dial the extension number (not very helpful - grrr!). E-mailed the customer services and just got back a 'case number'.
What's going on?????
If they were still trying to trade when they had insufficient funds perhaps they fell foul of the Companies Acts.
Disappointed, not mad as they only cost me about £300
