I must have missed something though, what is the programme from above?
Hi Sugarcandy:)
The programme is called Britain's spending secrets. It was really interesting, there is a further episode next week.
One of my favourite programmes used to be spendoholics and bank of Mum and Dad. I miss both of them.
Another very hectic day but thankfully I did manage to leave at 1.00pm as I am on duty again tomorrow. Next week should be more organised as my colleague will be back at work after a family issue resulted in them being off work most of the week.
Another £3 survey today for £3 which takes my PA total to £10.30 I am delighted with that in a week:T If I continue at this rate I will have enough to cover Christmas with the Quidc0 money too."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Happy Saturday everyone :j
I am in at work until 2pm which means I still have the afternoon to enjoy time with Hubby. DS2 is performing at a festival today so I hope that the rain keeps away. We had to rescue him from Leeds a couple of years ago when they had torrential rain for 2 days solid. They ended up ditching the tent and ringing us up to collect them. They lwere like a couple of muddy and smelly drowned rats bless them.
Had lunch with hubby yesterday and used 2 x £5 vouchers which we didnt manage to use last week. Bill came to £14.67 for both of us with a drink each (pint and a glass of wine). Not bad I thought and we enjoyed the treat.
I am hoping that we will be provided with lunch today again but I will take some money just in case and have soup and a roll if not. This will be £1.40. I dont have anything in the house to make up and take.
OK so goals for today.
HEALTH
Make healthy food choices today (off to a good start with wholemeal bread topped with sliced banana and cinnamon)
GET OUT FOR A WALK. I am starting to feel like I would expect an un-walked dog would feel.
WEALTH
Buy a low cost lunch (if necessary)
Check banking to determine how much money we have left until pay day
Check for surveys
Check free lotto
HAPPINESS
Spend quality time with hubby.
Print out paperwork for Monday while at work today.
Update my work to-do list"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Huge storm here last night and our flat roof has leaked:( OH though he managed to fix it the other week but there are obviously still some weak areas. He will have a look and we will have to buy some more sealant. Ceiling has a lovely set of water marks on it
Ended up going out for food AGAIN yesterday. We must stop relying on eating out so much but we do enjoy it. I think that the main issue is that OH and I eat totally different things as I am a vegetarian and he is not. He doesn't even like vegetables so I struggle to find any joy in cooking him a steak and me something separate If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate your ideas:).
Sun is shining so have a load in the machine and another one to follow. Looks like it will be a beautiful day.
Here are today's goals.
HEALTH
Get out for a walk (feel like a broken record here but I must get some exercise today)
Stick to my WW points
Buy some healthy options for packed lunches for next week
WEALTH
Make a shopping list for rest of week (pay day on Friday:T)
List another 3 items on £bay
Check free lotto
HAPPINESS
I need to do at least 3 hours work in preparation for next week as I have some urgent marking and some paperwork to print out which I couldn't do yesterday.
Iron and put washing away
Clean both bathrooms
Enjoy a nice walk with hubby
Have a relaxing bath tonight"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -

Just noticed that my mobile was due an upgrade this month so decided to keep my phone and reduce my monthly payment from £17 to £9.50. Also DS1 has taken over payments of his phone so that is a saving of £31.50 a month in total. More to put towards the pesky CC."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0

OH can get away with mushrooms as an accompaniment to steak but that's about it. Thanks for the suggestion though:)"These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
Have been totally off track the last couple of days. Sunday ended up being a mega spend as we went to eat out again (hubby is such a bad influence) and we bought some new pillows as I have been having problems with my neck and think it may help a little. Anyway, line drawn and back to it.
Today's goals
HEALTH
Stick to WW plan as I can already feel the weight creeping back on:o
Get out for a walk as I will be home at a reasonable time
Drink plenty water.
WEALTH
Check free lotto
Check for surveys (over £10 in the pot already):)
List 3 items on £bay
Take lunch to work and fruit for snacks
HAPPINESS
Clear all marking for one awarding body
Leave work on time
Arrange a night out with a friend for after pay day.
I need my hair doing, desperately. I have gone to a local hairdresser who is very reasonable, however I have not been happy with the service or atmosphere when I have been recently so a friend recommended one in town. Trouble is they are good but almost 3 times the price:eek: My last appointment cost me £102 for full head highlights, cut and style. I nearly fainted at the till.
I am seriously thinking of returning to my original hairdresser but am embarrassed to go back and also worried that things wont have improved. I am also worried about trying out somewhere new. The MSE in me says go to the old salon."These things take time but I know that I'm the most inept that ever stepped"0 -
I would try your old hair dressers again. It's worth a shot isn't it.GC 2015: Aug £272.21 /£300 Sept £112.41 /£300
NSD Aug: 6/12 Sept: 3 /100
