  • I love that you break your goals into health, wealth and happiness.
    Have a lovely day :D

Thanks cat lady, love your name too:T

I find that it helps me focus on myself holistically as we often forget self care when we are battling debts.

  • First day over and on balance a good day. Didnt achieve all of my goals but here is the round up.

Didn't manage a walk after work as I was so tired I zonked out on the sofa for an hour, this working lark is going to take some getting used to after 5 weeks annual leave  I felt much better for the snooze though:) Drank lots of water and ate lots of fruit.

Did a full No Spend Day :j must remember to take a cup in tomorrow as our offices are being re-furbished so we are in a temporary area but there is a kettle. Tea/Coffee is 70p a cup from the canteen!!!

Lots of moans and groans in the office but I tried to remain positive and said that I was glad to get back into a routine, how nice it was to see everyone again and that our temp office is in such a lovely setting overlooking the lake. They weren't convinced:rotfl:

I felt less overwhelmed today by breaking my tasks down and making sure I finished one before completing the next as I tend to get distracted.

Just making some roast veg and couscous which will be lunch for the next 2 days. Going for another NSD tomorrow but I know that I will need fuel at some point this week.

    Overall a good monday:)

  • Very quick morning post from me. Expecting a really busy day which I have all planned and should feel somewhat prepared for student enrolment starting tomorrow. Had another survey from PA so that brings my total to over £4 already.

    Goals for today
    HEALTH
Drink lots of water and green tea
Park in furthest car park so I have to walk into work
Take healthy lunch of couscous and roast veg, fruit for snacks

    WEALTH
    Have a NSD
    Check free postcode l0tt0
Take in bottle for water so I can use free dispenser
    Check survey sites

    HAPPINESS
Take time today to have coffee and a chat with a colleague for a catch up
Do all of the things on my work to do list for today
Take the time to eat lunch away from desk and maybe a walk around lake
As yesterday, avoid negative talk and people. I love my job and am grateful for the stability it brings my family so I want each day to be positive.

  • Morning MSE'ers:)

Just waiting for the sun to come out as we are supposed to have a glorious day here.

Yesterday's goals were mainly achieved with the exception of a NSD as I ended up cracking and buying a much needed cup of coffee for 70p:eek: Green tea just wouldn't cut it I'm afraid. I was amazed at the amount of staff who buy food every day in the canteen and spend around £5 each time.

My positive attitude is starting to have some impact I feel as I feel much more settled and focused. I had some of my additional duties reduced yesterday (thankfully) which I am very pleased about. I won't be trying to slice myself in 4 different roles and carrying out 2 roles will make me much more effective I think.

No chance of a NSD today as need fuel for the car but I will get fed and watered as enrolment starts today and those on duty are looked after.

    Goals for today:

    HEALTH
As I will be spending a lot of time sitting down behind the enrolment desks I need to ensure that I get up and walk regularly to save my back from damage.
    Drink lots of water
Park a distance away from work and walk in

    WEALTH
    No spending apart from fuel
Check PA for surveys (got another one last night which has already taken me over £5)
Check out pension AVC as we had an info session yesterday so they may be an option alongside my TPS if I dont want to work until I am 67:o

    HAPPINESS
Remain positive and encourage others to do the same.
    Clear my emails
Watch GBBO with hubby when I return from work
Text both of my boys to check they are OK:A

Have a great day everyone who reads.

You seem to be doing really well. Glad that you are finding PA as lucrative as I am - I've up to £8 this week (though £3 was from the second part of a study that I started last week). You can cash out at £5 but they take a small fee or wait till £20 to cash out without a fee. Either way it seems to take somewhere between a day and three but I've always been paid.

  • Very quick update, going for a NSD today. Put £20 in fuel yesterday and got a free lunch and sandwich for evening work. Another day behind the desk, have packed a salad but should get fed again for the evening session.

No surveys available yesterday or today so far. Really enjoyed the GBBO which was followed by a fascinating program hosted by Ann Robinson about people's spending habits. Loved the millionaire guy who still had his old values and wouldn't waste money on things such as a cleaner for his home and still bought his suits at a shopping outlet. He did have a helicopter though and a fridge full of caviar! He just saw all of his belongings as assets and always bought with a view to sell later so didnt get emotionally attached to what he called "stuff". Part 2 next Wednesday which will be interesting again I am sure.

    Goals for today

    HEALTH
Drink lots of water (I didn't manage this yesterday and I can feel it today)
Yoga stretch tonight after a long day sitting down mainly
Get some fresh air by taking a walk at lunch time

    WEALTH
    No spend day
    Check free postcode l0tt0
Remind DS1 that his phone DD has come out and get money reimbursed

    HAPPINESS
Do the urgent tasks on my to do list
Make plans with OH for the weekend
Put on a nice dress for work
Notice one beautiful thing on the drive into work
    Pay someone a compliment

    Hi There is a Light,

I've just read your diary, it's so positive, I'm definitely subscribing :D I'm also about to register on PA thanks to what I've read on this thread!
  • Thanks for the post Icc86 and i am glad you have enjoyed reading my diary. PA has really worked out for me so far so I hope you get plenty of surveys.

Good day overall yesterday, however I did have to spend £1.40 in the canteen as I had forgot to put my tuna salad in the fridge and it smelled a bit funny. Not sure that I fancied food poisoning, however I would probably have a few more NSD out of it!

Half day for me today as I am also working tomorrow (one off). Really hope the weather is nice so hubby and I can get out for a nice long walk.

Decided to skip the wine again this weekend but may buy a much cheaper option of a bottle of tonic as I have half a bottle of Bombay Sapphire left. I do LOVE red wine though, maybe too much.

I do feel slightly stressed about the amount of work building up while I carry out departmental enrolment duties so I shall talk to my manager today about this. Just half a day at my desk would catch me up somewhat otherwise I can see myself having to do work tasks all weekend.

    OK, goals for today:

    HEALTH
Finish work at 1pm and do some walking with OH (aim for at least 4 miles)
Drink water (did this yesterday also)
Get up and walk around regularly to save my poor back

    WEALTH
Check free lotto and PA for surveys
Sort out banking and work out how much is left in the pot till the end of the month
Make a shopping list for Ald1

    HAPPINESS
    Actually LEAVE work at 1.00pm
Watch a film tonight with OH
    Wear something nice today
Speak to both of my boys at some point

Hi, I have also read and subscribed to your diary.
I must have missed something though, what is the programme from above?
