Is it selfish to not share comps?

The only reason I don't post competitions that I have received in emails is because it seems such a faff, what is the correct order? How many spaces? Etc.
I think a form would be a good idea, fill in the fields click enter and it would appear in the correct format.
The only biggie that I can see is getting the date in the correct format in the title eg: E: 25/02.
Even that error can be sorted by a BG though.
The rest can be soon added to by others.
Each member on here does seem to post in an individual way & without member names I could probably spot who had posted a comp.
Having a form sounds good but in practice it would slow posting down as C&P could not be used. Some other forums have forms & I think they can be a bit inflexible.0 -

Whenever I have time off work, I like to whizz through Google for any comps not yet posted on MSE. I started out by posting Twitter comps in the early days, but I've fallen away from social media comps altogether (unless FB apps) and go searching for good old-fashioned web-based comps particularly from the smaller and more niche sites.
Having won so many lovely prizes from the generosity of posters on this site, I feel it's only right to "pay it forward". MSE is the main comping portal for most users, so I hate the thought that someone could really be doing with a prize offered by a site they haven't yet had the opportunity to discover just because it hasn't been posted.
Trawling Google becomes a bit like a game. It's also a bit like winning a comp when you come across a really good comp that hasn't been posted yet. And unlike entering comps, there's no wait for a WEM or whatever -- as soon as you hit Submit Thread, you're helping folk instantly by pointing them in the direction of a new comp they otherwise wouldn't know about
It's also useful for tracking my own competition entries. If I decided to enter a comp I'd found but then not post it, I'd forget I'd entered it then dupe myself if it were to appear on MSE a few days later.
Posting comps is not just good for everyone, it's good basic admin sense0 -

Hi, I would not let that put you off as there is no correct order as such.
The only biggie that I can see is getting the date in the coorrect format in the title eg: E: 25/02.

You say there is no correct order but there are one or two people who tend to repeatedly criticise posters who put a space in the wrong place or some other silly little mistakes, it doesn't really encourage newbies to give it a go (especially those with limited computer skills).0 -
I answered the question in the title rather than the question in the poll... oops0

(I wonder how many of the other 'Yes' votes did the same thing)0
