Mass PCN's from VCS in Sheffield

Perhaps if the MA have terminated services they should remove the VCS signage which is now trespassing on the land and store it safely for collection. VCS will then find it difficult to prove they have any right to issue tickets and the kangaroo court will have to work overtime to find an excuse to disallow appeals.
A concerned resident might even contact the MA to offer to do this work for them for free.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
So this is the response I got back from the owner / manager of the building:
"
The sites rules are very clear on the parking requirements of having a valid permit displayed. In addition to this, if the residents had made contact with us we would have been able to arrange for their cars to be added to the exemption list while a permit is arranged.
If you have any queries concerning this matter, please direct it to VCS on the following number:
If there is an 'exemption list' then why the need to display a permit. All the MA had to do was give the ppc an up to date list of vehicles allowed to park. It's not every day that residents will be changing vehicles, so by setting up a system where residents can update the list online would do away with all these scams. Or is that too simple ??0 -
Just when I thought it was all over....got a ticket in the post today for a "drive off" about 2 weeks ago! Checked the time and date and it was when I got in my car to go to work for a night shift. Never noticed any inspectors. Wish I had. I've sent an appeal off and asked that they proceed through the courts if they want to take it further.0

They are not inspectors nor wardens, just people filling in while they look for a real job, no doubt really hoping to find something which actually provides a service for Society - something of which PPCs are the antithesis.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thought I'd check back on this thread after a while.
I got a letter from VCS at some point in my correspondence with a copy of another letter they allegedly sent asking for a copy of a permit and they'll then decide what further action if any to take. I'd never seen the letter they claimed to have sent so I asked for proof of postage to which they completely ignored.
Further down the line they then said they'd accept £20 which was a £10 cancellation fee which I opted not to pay purely out of principle at this point. I've now started getting debt collection letters and have just gone in to ignore mode.
VCS are utter scumbags, there's a couple of cars in this car park which I've no doubt are entitled to park in the space they're in and they've got 4-5 tickets plastered over their window - over the Christmas holidays and all. I've never actively hated a company so much.0 -
Well said - they deserve your disgust and hatred.
This seedy 'industry' of ex-clamper thugs and fat cats and sociopaths drains the economy and harasses ordinary law abiding people purely in the name of profit for Capita & co. There is no 'parking management' about any of it. Greed drives megalomaniacs like these to pursue trashy, jumped up claims without conscience.
Such bullies are not worthy of the air the rest of us breathe.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just brilliant.
Came home from work tonight to find someone parked in my space, and who else other than the VCS parking warden parked up in his van while he loitered around the car park.
Immediately got out and took a couple of photos and noted down the reg number. He had the cheek to ask what my problem was.
I was fuming, I'm usually quite quiet but these guys just push me over the edge. I asked whether he had a permit for that space and he told me to chill out.
Trying to think of the best way of using the photos and vehicle details, any ideas?0 -
my suggestion would be to contact the Parking Prankster

and ask if he is interested
Good work

Block the car in with a note saying that that you will move at whatever time you depart at in the morning for work? From the Plain Language Commission:
