So what advice would you give the poster to help him/her then Arf?
No regular has the slightest interest in bumping up their post count - what an infantile analysis! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Complain to the management association as others have done. See if the letter the original poster put up on one of the walls of the apartment blocks is still there.
Meanwhile read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES and appeal using the template letter therein, exactly as it is.
If/when they reject it, either ignore for six years or make a second stage appeal using the template in the Parking Pranksters BlogSpot about rejecting the IAS kangaroo court as it doesn't meet the legal requirements for Alternative Dispute Resolution, but demand instead to use the Ombudsman Service.
Ignore debt collectors. They have no powers to do anything other than send bog paper with writing on it.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, do not miss the appeal deadline, never, ever 'phone a parking company.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -

You clearly agreed to not hijack threads as part of your signup - Why did you do just that?0 -

There is no thread hijack and eyesascandles has not breached the signup agreement.0 -

Well your and the other experts:eek: advice is to post their letter of appeal on this forum so you and other experts can go through it with a fine tooth comb, and feel that warm glow of importance, but surely you realise that the PPC monkeys also view this forum as they sit at their desks. So you have prewarned the PPC'S who can view the newbies hopeful appeal and so have extra time to analyse the points made by the hopeful newbie who dreams of getting his ticket cancelled have been made less likely by your advice to post the response on this forum for the PPC to view.
Laughable:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
If its free its advice
If you pay for it its counseling
If you can use any of it its a miracle*

And presumably the reason why 99% of forum-guided POPLA appeals have been upheld in favour of the motorist?
Let's get it quite straight Arf, you were the one quite happy to ask for and receive advice from us (including me) when you were desperately scrabbling around to find a way to weasel your son off his parking charge.
So let's not forget this when you now feebly attempt to p*ss in the face of those who quite generously and freely gave of their time and experience to help you and sonny boy.
And if you do actually uphold your professed Christian values, then it may be an opportunity to refresh your memory of the parable of the Good Samaritan. Because next time you or yours cop a ticket, I for one will be the first to walk by.
Every time you post on this forum you continue to expose yourself as someone of breathtaking double-standards - how utterly embarrassing!

^^^^^^^ What he said.
Yes, things have changed since Beavis but there is work going on behind the scenes to readjust. As said above, you were happy to come for help when you and your son had a problem. So let us try and help others.
If you can help with relevant advice, it will be welcomed. Even if you are correcting any error in advice given. If you have no original ideas to contribute, then you become forum chaff and a waste of space, I am afreaid0 -
Thanks everyone for your help and some 'hijack' comments :') haha!
Really appreciate all the advice and will definitely look further into it, thought this parking ticket problem had come to an end but months later they rear their ugly head.0 -

If anyone's interested I thought I'd post the outcome of all this.
MA said they were speaking with VCS ages ago and inspections were suspended. I received no further communication on the outcome of their discussions. I got my permit but didn't display it. No tickets seen and a lot of other cars didn't appear to be displaying permits. But then a few weeks ago tickets appeared on a few cars. I got away with it as mine wasn't there at the time. Have to admit I bottled it a bit and shoved by permit on the dashboard.
I emailed the MA asking what the position was as I had received no further communication but didn't get a reply. More and more tickets appeared including one car with four on it. They even came round last night and on holiday days over Christmas.
I checked my post box this morning and there's a letter from the MA telling residents they don't believe there is a valid contract with VCS so they have terminated their services and they have no right to ticket vehicles.
However VCS aren't accepting this and are continuing to come round and ticket vehicles! MA has advised residents not to pay and to send VCS a copy of the letter if they receive a ticket or any threatening letters.
So it appears we the residents definitely won this one! I repeatedly told them I had no legal obligation to display a permit. They copied their legal guy on the emails. I never heard from him but looks like they quietly accepted that this was the case.
The fact that VCS appear to be desparately trying to wring a last bit of cash out of residents by dishing tickets out like confetti despite being told by the company they are allegedly acting on behalf of that they are not welcome has just shown them up as even bigger cowboys than i thought.0
