Academia have a great time and call in for a brew. :j

Bob so jealous, green eyed monster here on your debt busting. Just seem to be adding to mine. Just put my car insurance on my cc cheaper than last years quote by 30 pounds and not paying by instalments, refuse to give them any more money than need to. Good luck with yr Maternity pay.:T

Just wondering if I can survive on a cuppa soup till hometime. In light on Dolly's weight loss I may try. Thats it will try and concentrate on getting fit.:A

Thought I would share funny moment yesterday, I was playing hide sea shells in the garden. Grandson starts looking for them, wrinkling his nose and says he can smell some grey shells. Had a extra huggle for cuteness.

Right debt busting Zero:( May have a SFD need toothpaste but may have enough for today.;)

    Have a lovely holiday academia.

Called into town this afternoon and withdrew the cash we need for September, also bought a portion of chips which were shared 3 ways. Took my Mum to Asda for her shopping and got some bits there for us but Mum paid - it was only £3, oh and she bought us some cake bar things she likes too for us to try.

I will be going cycling tonight but apart from that, making tea and having a bath I have nothing else planned for the day.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

Everyones been busy today by the seems of it.

Dolly - I am amazed to read how much you lost, that is incredible. And your commitment to fitness is amazing too. You are setting such a great example for your children too, seeing Mum putting such emphasis on sports!

Thanks TOG - That was the first really good freebie I've had, but then I am still getting to grips with the various shopping apps. I sometimes find things only to realise I'd need to go back into the shop and scan an item for it to qualify via Shoptize for example. And who has the time?? Thanks for the cheering on, you are a huge inspiration cant wait to see your signature with that debt free badge very very soon by the looks of it!

Calling - I have been powering along lately, but as you point out, have 1 pair of shoes, that get wet! I am my own worst enemy for pulling over for treats. I think being self employed is part of that, because I never know when I will have money or not, so I pour it all into the black hole and hope for the best. Hope you've been ok today?

Apple - Horray, cant wait for the new challenge! Your living situation sounds ideal for youngsters.

Academia - Have a great time!

Today was a NSD on the personal front. Made £7 in tips, but had quite a challenging day to achieve that...loaded up 3 reciepts for 15p to ClickSnap, almost at the payout limit for a small PAD already. Also, have now hit my stretch target for August, & decided on my goal for September, depending on Apples rules :)

Managed to cycle both ways without getting soaked. Purely by luck as it was tipping down moments before we left work today. Blue skies all around now!

Dinner will be chilli, with YS mince & some kidney beans & rice left from last night.

    Have a good night all!

    Bob

    Hi all
Not had a good day but at least it was a sfd.
Got up this morning and tooth is fine, no pain at all but my other cheek was hurting and when I looked in the mirror it looked as if I'd burnt my face and there was a huge scab forming, so phoned doctors and got in to see nurse who says I have shingles so I'm on medication, now for that.
I still managed a walk though and I'm having to eat healthy because I have a cholesterol problem that has reared its ugly head again so that should all help my immune system.
Since I have retired I seem to be falling apart ha, ha!!!!!

    Quick pre-pay day check in...

    Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday SFDs = 17

That said - I'm going to need to go shopping when I get paid tomorrow (out of next month's budget) for essentials.

Adding another workout and mindfulness session too

Nannyg - ouch to shingles but brilliant you have spotted it so soon. Dd had it for 5 days before we took her to the nurse - naughty mummy!! It can be v painful so do take it easy and get plenty of rest.

Abundant - you are doing brilliantly on the NSDs - well done you.

Just been told by dd that me and dh are 'perfect parents'. Smug face is on!

Yet another spendy day but also got a lot of walking in. Spent £2.99 on a pair of jeans from a ch shop. I have trouble finding trousers that I like (not that I'm fussy or have an odd body shape, given that I am a perfect parent...) and never buy on sight - always try them on. So I was pleasantly surprised to like the way they fit. Also needed to find more g-f food for dd as she'd eaten all the stuff I brought with me already!

Today I am grateful for spending time with my mum, for a yummy tea, for good coffee, for lots of walking, for my mum's comfy sofas.

    Hi everyone!

Bob good luck with maternity allowance.

    Calling grandson sounds adorable!

    Nannygladys get well soon!

Had a fairly productive day. Had some professional pictures done for my business (by a relative, so no charge). He also helped me work on my website so it looks a bit more professional. However, I broke one of my accessories that wouldn't behave for the photo shoot, then dropped a glass jar full of sweets when I got home!

Had a job interview this afternoon. They called to say I didn't get the job (it went to somebody who already works there) but gave me lovely feedback and have told me to apply for a job they will be advertising soon. I'm feeling pretty ok about it as I had a feeling they already had somebody lined up, as it was only advertised internally, and it was good interview practice and has built my confidence a bit for interviews.

Had to get milk and picked up a few ys items today but not too much over budget for the month. Have chased up some cash back that is due and have been told it will be here next week at the latest.

    Morning turtles

    Get well soon nannyg

Me and OH went up the coast a bit yesterday and had a lovely walk along the beach. A NSD for me as he paid for the icecreams :D. I'm aiming for a NSD today as well.

This morning I've paid £4.66 to the debt and when I get paid tomorrow, I'll be able to put another £40 towards it. That will be the last debt payments for August. I've made a budget for the first week in September and worked out a rough budget for the rest of the month although it depends how much I make from 2nd job.

Thanks Welsh Kitty - OH downloaded and printed the form yesterday. My goodness it is like a book. Need to sit down and go through it all shortly.
What a pain breaking your accessory and the sweets :( I know the florist I mentioned bought many of her accessories on ebay. The photo shoot sounds good :)

NannyG - shingles does not sound fun. Take care of yourself.

MissTara - well done on your smaller payments, they all add up!

On that note time to haul myself out the door. Really do not feel like it after the battering yesterday brought!

    Back later

nanny - hope you get rid of the shingles quick, it can be nasty so take care of yourself.

Bob - thanks for the lovely comments, me and DH are very, very outdoorsy and hope the kids will be too when they are not forced in to it by us.

Welshkitty - boo to breaking things but nice to get some feedback about your interview rather than a letter.

applemuncher - there is hardly a day goes by when my DD doesn't tell me that I am the 'worst mum in the world'. Funnily enough DS has never said it.

I am taking the kids out for a little jaunt today, we are taking a picnic but are paying to go into Tropical World. DD is going to sleep over at her friends tonight so tomorrow it is just me and DS, he wants to go to the golf driving range but that would only fill an hour so I am hoping to do something else instead.

I had my Tesco grocery delivery yesterday, I spent £55.42 including the £1 delivery charge and £6.75 in coupons. We got loads of stuff including £5 worth of loo roll so I was very pleased.
