Hi all, well I did a post last night but it's disappeared!! Obviously didn't press post!!! Anyway sfd today and one yesterday as well so that's 13 at the moment. Been busy painting some cupboards and shelves this last week and hopefully going to start my chair from the bedroom and wardrobe, I've not done many for a long long time and I'm really enjoying it and its keeping me busy.

Used another courgette for dinner (another Jack recipe) and made a gooseberry crumble for afters, plenty leftovers for tomorrow.

    Hi all.

Another blackberry picker here, I got my third tub full yesterday, I find it very difficult to stop picking them and can hardly get anything else in the freezer.

We bought DD a bike from ebay yesterday, she has moved onto a full size ladies bike now (only 11) and we got her one for £35, we will either sell her bike or her brothers and hopefully get this back.

Today DS is going to his friends house, me and DD are going to drop him off and then go cycling for half an hour, after lunch I am going to label up all the school uniform to save a job for next week.

No blackberrying today - it is pelting down with rain! We'll have to go out in it, as we have errands to run, but I'm sure we'll be very grateful for our waterproofs!

Just a quick check in nothing exciting to report.

Fiddled around with spreadsheets and its so annoying me I can't pay anything off.

    Sfd today 16/20.

Been looking at getting a lodger again. However need to sort my leaky shower out again first. Might try and get professionals in this time. Just thought it might be worth doing renting for 6 months at least as I want some spare cash for house repairs as well next few months.

Feeling flat and fed up. Need to go for a walk but found it heartbreaking without my pooch the other day. Came home in floods of tears. May drive somewhere then go for a walk where I don't usually go tonight.

Haven't seen many blackberries around here ready yet. Will start hunting.

  • Hi all! Oh Calling, hugs, it's not easy to do things that you used to do with pooch. Be good to yourself, grief is a process :)
Another blackberry picker here, got two tubs yesterday and loads left for later. Got some very odd looks from passers-by as well so it's obviously not something that is "done" round here - oh well, more for me!
Today has been a weird SFD - went to Chester Zoo with my parents, but they took some stuff of mine to a car boot last week and they bought my ticket with that. We took lunch and drinks with us, so not spent a thing whilst there! Took some lovely pictures of red pandas, they're awesome :)
Tomorrow will be spendy as going to the dentist for a check-up (boo, hiss!) so going to C@fe Nero to get my free drink afterwards (rarely get a chance to use the oh-two app because I don't work near a coffee shop, so going to make the most of it!). Sounds like lots of you are having NSDs and doing food foraging at the moment, keep it up :D

Calling - That made me so sad reading about your dogless walk. Cant imagine how you are feeling yourself. You have had so many sad things lately, it doesnt seem fair. It must surely be your turn for some huge good luck very soon.

Got utterly soaked cycling home, for the 2nd day in a row. Its miserable when its coming down so hard you cant see. My shoes were barely dry before I put them on this morning, and now they are water logged again. Boo.
Managed a small PAD of £2. If Im being strictly cheeky, my min payment to CC2 plus the extra left on CC1 (£37) will be taken care of this Friday, so technically speaking I can claim I've made my target. But that also means I have to consider where I will be getting funds for my payments to be sent to Septembers buddget.

NSD today, a double as I didnt buy anything for the shop today either. Had done a big stock up on sunday.

Big hugs to all who need them.

    Hi everyone!

Bob well done at keeping going with the cycling despite the weather. You definitely have more determination than me!

Calling it must be very difficult for you. Remember to take care of yourself.

The weather has been lovely here today. Managed to get washing out to dry. Took little ones to local play centre to use the free voucher DD won at the school fair. Also got their school shoes. I have known all along that I needed to get these but for some reason didn't put it in my original budget. They cost £18 each but are leather so hopefully they will last.

Have transferred some money across from the account that we use for our tenant to pay rent into and for the business. Have put some to savings and made a small payment off the credit card. Have taken some inspiration from Bob and although I highly doubt I will be able to make payments every day, I though little and often will soon add up.

    Budgets are now:
    Fuel - £89.26/£120
    Groceries - £200.55/£200
    Days out - £194.79/£200
    Business - £54.33/£100
Misc - rugby club £20, school shoes £35.98

Have maxed out my grocery budget and still need milk, but hopefully that should be it for the month, so not too bad and better than recent months. Am now starting to think ahead to next months budget and starting to plan for Xmas!

Hi everyone, another sfd in the bag.
Had a lovely afternoon with dd1, went a walk along a local canal path and the sun shone all the time, bought dgd1 back home with me and I will take her to sit dgd3 whilst her mum is at work tomorrow (she loves playing with her youngest cousin).
Not sure what I'm doing the rest of the week but I'm at the dentist for a filling tomorrow pm which I've already paid for, anyway off to bed as I have an early start.

WelshKitty - I can't make a PAD either not unless I did my monthly min that way. Which I actually did bar £40 on the business card this month. Just skimmed it across as a rounding exercise each day.
But what I do find is it focuses my mind on where each of my little pots are, such as COS and Shoptize which both pay out at around £5 time. I've managed the payout limits on those twice this month. Also I use any money I save on YS or voucher food spends and just treat those as if they were repayment funds instead. So there are lots of little sources of cash when you start nosing around.

NannyG - good luck at the dentist. It's never a pleasant experience.

Glad to wake and see its not raining! Apparently I have until 1pm!

    Morning,

Another NSD yesterday so am up to 15/20. I'm just heading home from work and then I've got the next 4 days off. I've got a wee list of things I want to get done before I go back to work on Saturday, top of the list is to go to Aldee this morning and get a few bits and bobs.

Hope everyone has a lovely day :)
