Hi there, hope everybody is feeling better and positive so ((((hugs))))) to all that need them.

I'm still struggling to get sfds, it's always the little things I forget and then find out I can't use something else, anyway hosting a bbq tomorrow so went and got everything for that (mind you I have to get my bbq back off dd3), I will be baking first thing in the morning and making salads etc. Hopefully I will get a couple of sfds in. At the moment I'm on 3!!

Anyway better get in the garden whilst the weather is OK, now I've got more time at home I'm trying to get it how I want it but it will take time and probably won't get finished until next year as I want some fencing and new beds put in and I can't do them myself so having to get help where I can and it takes time and money.

Hope everybody has a good weekend

Thrifty Love your cheerleaders I think I posted at the same time last did they showed up so only just saw them yesterday. Thanks have a fab weekend.

Bob wow your doing brilliantly. How do you put the stretch target up - useless old biddy trying to be computer cool here wants one. What does MO stand for?

Feel your pain Academia I had another horrid night last night, it is my back, walked up a hill yesterday, with a pulling dog and was very uncomfortable all night, nerves I never knew I had pinging. Don't want to do nothing all weekend driving me nuts, going to try and do little bits of exercise, must keep mobile.

Today been for mammogram screening - ouch. Better to get screened though or find out too late you have breast cancer.

Haven't got grandson after work, probably for the best with my back will see him over weekend. Hopefully sprawl in garden and enjoy some sunshine after work.

Todays good news got 34.45 pounds to spend with my nectar points. Had 5,000 points for taking home insurance out with them. May have a little treat when they have 25% off clothing this month.

    - great news on your daughters check ups. must be improving.
The Only Girl - just keep checking in and plodding along. Try and stay upbeat.
Misstara enjoy your holidays sounds lovely.

Having a SFD today, may need milk but hey ho I have wine and its the weekend. Herbal teas will do me for today. SFD 5/20

Listed a bunny hutch for sale on facebook, here's hoping it sells.

Enjoy the weekend folks and hugs to everyone feeling bit achey/down. x

Well we are back from our little jaunt out on the train and spending as follows:

    Train fare £7.80 return
Mocha - £1.95 (the best ever)
    Chips £1 (for DS)
    Ice Cream £1.75 (for DD)
Lovely floaty top from CS for DD £1.79
Lovely dress from CS for DD £2.59

Total £16.88 - not too bad for 3 of us.

DS bought a game from the CS for 50p (blow football) and DD a big hardback book for 50p too, these were from their own money though.

Bob - well done paying that extra money off.

  • Evening all! You're all busy squirrelling away money, chipping away at the debt, or spending it on much-needed things - I'm impressed! Thrifty, LOVE the colour co-ordinated pom-poms!
Today was another SFD, as I'm home from work and in my PJs now (helps me not go to the shopping centre to spend!). Thanks for all the well-wishes, my back's been okay since Wednesday *crosses fingers* - Calling, hope yours gets better soon.
Remember turtles, it may be the weekend (the time when I know I personally get a bit spend-happy!) but try to think mindfully about any spends that you do have - do you need it? Is it something that will make you happy for longer than an hour? A day? A year? Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

Hi Calling, do you mean where I've put it in bold in my post at the top? If so thats just using the Title box when you post. Sorry if you mean something else.
MO means the normal behaviour of something, so basically Im just saying its been the pattern of late. Quiet morning, then just as I despair of making a buck, it goes crazy. I actually had to check myself by googling MO to check if my brain is a bit weird, but it is a thing. But no, according to Wiki
Modus operandi or Mode of Operation, criminology and psychology, method of operating, the pattern and habits of a person

Also, sorry to hear about your back. Do try and sit down as much as you can this weekend. And I hope you get your test results back asap.

    Stretch target £100/£500 20% paid

Thanks Bob that's two new things I have learnt today.

Need to move around more with my back at least every hour, backs are such bad design!

Dolly sounds a great train/day trip and very MSE

Academia going to listen to some relaxation cds after and think what I need to spend on this weekend. Dog bed needed and new door mats. Market on tomorrow bit cheaper there.

Off to walk and stretch around the house and find wine x
