Hi, Thanks for the input and info, this is all extremely new to me, so a bit scary, however thanks for the advise. They have also mentioned adenomysis and got have another procedure at the same time ? Again I need to research all of these. At the moment GP has not given me any pain relieving tablets, so only taking over the counter ones which don't seem to be strong enough?
You sound like you have been suffering for quite a while, so hope you don't mind me asking for advice?

Of course I don't mind, ask away - I got my initial diagnosis about 7 years ago but have been suffering since about 14 years old so I've been through most of the treatments!
If they have mentioned adeno they may have suggested a uterine ablation which will strip the womb lining, some women find it works wonders so good to try - it's not an option for me as I still plan to have a child/children, but if you don't plan on having children (sorry, I'm not sure whether you have any already/plan to etc). it's worth a try.
Adeno can only 100% be confirmed after a hyster as the uterus needs to be examined pathologically, however they can look at things like the thickness of the lining and pretty accurately diagnose.
After my first lap I had a mirena coil inserted and then had prostap injections for 6 months which put the body into a temporary menopause - apart from the meno side effects like hot flushes and HORRIFIC mood swings, it was probably the most pain-free time I remember. They can't do these continuously though as it can cause bone density problems.
I would definitely ask your GP for a stronger pain relief and there's a fantastic support group if you are on facebook called endometriosisters.
Hope that helps a bit,

I've had to stop taking all my acid meds ready for my hospital visit next week and I'm struggling to sleep - I can't lie down so I'm propped up with 4 pillows and I still feel like the acid is attacking my throat and mouth so I'm a little grumpy. OH stayed up until 1am doing god knows what and then whined that he was tired this morning, he seems surprised at my unsympathetic response :rotfl:!
About to leave for my scan so I'm desperately trying to down enough water to allow a clear picture - I've got through 1 litre so far and I don't even feel like I need a wee so must try harder!
I haven't even checked accounts today to do my PAD  will have to sort when I get back:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Thanks ccl, it wasn't too bad - I'm in agony now and may have another diagnosis to add to my list as one of my ovaries was absolutely covered in cysts.
To be honest, I'm relieved as for years I've had all the symptoms of PCOS but the doctors disagreed - the ultrasound lady showed me the pic and it looked like a bunch of grapes so maybe this time they will listen. A lot of the ladies in my support group have PCOS and endo so maybe there is a link....hmmm. will do some research this evening.
Good to hear from you lincs. Thanks - it's a long process but I am almost halfway through!!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Thanks Bob, I feel a bit numb about it all at the moment actually, part of me is relieved that I wasn't imagining it and the other part can't quite get my head around it - the endo is all over my left side, and now my right ovary is possibly compromised by cysts - it's a bit overwhelming so I'm going to try and ignore it until my consultant appointment.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

I can't imagine how you must be feeling. Hope you have some support IRL through this difficult time. I think you said you're mum and aunt had suffered similar? How has your OH reacted?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
