I've been a bit slack posting on here of late (I made it my mission to write in my 'diary' everyday to give me a push long, but it's so hectic at work that I haven't really noticed the time passing which is scary!)
I've been making my PADs and the debt is heading in the right direction (I'm making the most of it until the end of the month when I've agreed to make PADs of £1 per day or less unless I sell something on eBay or the like)....fingers crossed for lots of ebay sales next month, I'll be gutted to see the repayments slow down!!
Still feel a little guilty about buying the bed. I honestly never realised how expensive these things were - I was given my original bed frame and bought an extremely cheap mattress (it shows, but has served me well for many years!) Although the money was accounted for and not banged on a CC the way I would have done a year (or even 6 months ago if I'm honest), I still feel like it should have paid off more of the vanquis card. I can't keep stressing about it though, so now I've ranted about it I'm letting it go....or trying to.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Finally heard from our solicitor yesterday and all searches have been completed so we have been given a potential completion date of 13th November
That will be 9 weeks between offer and completion, so I'm very happy with that!
Still making my PADs, and it's slowly coming down. Almost under £20,000! :j I am so excited to see that figure - will probably be payday so only 12 days to wait:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Thanks CCL - I'm not sure which I'm more excited about at the moment....the debt under £20k is winning tonight though!
I realised this morning how far my mindset is from what it used to be, I've shocked myself. Thanks to all the lovely support on here:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

It must be a good date then Bob
It isn't far away at all in the grand scheme of things, I'm sure November will come around far too quickly for both of us!
Hope you and the little one are doing well, and you are managing some sleep!

Had a bad weekend in terms of spends, although could have been much worse.
Went carpet shopping and to Ikea with OH yesterday, and spent a grand total of NOTHING! I've never gone to ikea without buying so very excited by this. Went out for a meal last night with friends (stayed within budget) and got home at 3am as we ended up putting the World to rights on my friends sofa. Ended up sitting up with OH while he watched Australian Motor Racing and we finally fell into bed at 7.30 this morning
Woke up shattered and starving so my diet has gone out the window and had a chinese tonightdefinitely not budgeted and is going to have to come out of my PAD amounts so I'm very annoyed at myself
Had a call from my Grandparents who have offered to pay for our bedroom to be carpeted as our early xmas present so that was a lovely surprise, and something we don't have to worry about saving up for. Ordered some free carpet samples to see if we can pick one and get it fitted on the day we get the keys before the bed arrives
Next bad thing - my housemate was taking down the spare bed today (he moves a week on Friday so is getting ready) and called me upstairs. Behind the headboard the wall is black with mould. This house is a nightmare. That's 3 rooms we have mould in now and we leave windows open whenever we are in because of the poor ventilation. I'm worried that the evil landlord will be trying to blame this on us to keep the deposit but I'm not going to allow that!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

You went to Ikea and didn't buy anything? Not even meatballs? I didn't even think it was possible to not buy anything there :rotfl:
Anyway, hello! Congratulations on getting a house, it's all very exciting. :T The next few weeks will fly I'm sure.
I can recommend Dett0l mould and mildew remover if you want to get rid of it. I used it and so far its done the trick. I'm sure the landlord can't blame you but if he doesn't see it........:D;)
