Hi Bob,
It was a big mix of food - a group of us threw a surprise 30th birthday party for one of our friends so my housemate and I did pizzas, vegetable fajitas, fried chicken chimichangas, spicy chicken baskets, sandwiches and various other bits and pieces - it was a little stressful but a lot of fun and really succeeded in taking my mind of things...however despite deciding to keep the house a secret after toasting the birthday girl with a few glasses of prosecco my loose lips put paid to that secret! OH was excitedly telling people too so I know he isn't annoyed but I'm annoyed with myself. Best keep these fingers very tightly crossed!
Hope your weekend has been good?

Hi Monie!
Welcome on board the kirtsypoos train!
Funnily enough, The first thing I asked the mortgage advisor was to make sure we could make overpayments without penalty so the deal we've applied for allows 10% overpayments per year, I hope to be debt and mortgage free by 45 which I think is doablechildren could change those dates slightly, but I like to have a goal. 15 years and counting!
I've got my fingers so tightly crossed! My MA is on holiday until today (only a long weekend) but it killed me not being able to question him! the lovely man actually gave me his holiday contact details and told me to call him if I was worried or nervous but as it was such a short time he was away i resisted...did call his office to see if anyone else could give me an update though which I doubt was appreciated :rotfl:.
I will update as soon as I know anything!

Had a call from the Mortgage Advisor about an hour ago and the valuation has been instructed and booked for Monday 21st September :j
Still doesn't mean we have a mortgage offer but the MA did say that the first round of checks had been done, and Halifax hadn't asked for any further documentation so I think that's a good sign?
Anyway, it's our anniversary on Sunday and my christmas present from OH was Michael McIntyre tickets which are for this Saturday. He has text me saying I should wear a nice dress and he's organising something for beforehand :smileyhea:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
