I can completely understand about the Relate sessions. Is it worth you both arranging a certain time every week where you go out for a coffee and a chat? And have the same rules as you do at the counselling session? Apologies if this doesn't make any sense. I know in my head what I mean but I can't seem to say it.
I know exactly what you mean CCL. I hadn't even thought about something like that, but I think it could really help us. We both hate arguing at home so having a neutral ground when we lose our current 'safe' place will be really useful. I'll discuss with OH when he gets home but I love the idea - Thank you!I'm glad your MIL has come through her op ok Kirsty. I really hope her recovery continues well.

Very pleased that we are getting slow but sure updates about MIL. She seems very positive at the moment but FIL is adamant he needs to act normally so has been back at work (bearing in mind he retired 2 years ago but goes back to his old work place at least 3 days a week - he doesn't know how to slow down!) MIL is used to cooking and doing the shopping and I'm worried she will be trying to do too much so need to keep in contact and make sure she isn't!
I forgot I'd offered to dog sit for my parents this weekend (I say dog sit, she's actually my dog but when I was at Uni she stayed with my parents and her and my mom are so attached to each other that I couldn't part them) so my little pooch will be dropped off with us on Sat AM until Sunday night. I'm ridiculously excited! I can't wait for us to be in a position that we can have a dog, I love them!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Had a last minute ebay sale yesterday which was picked up and paid for within a couple of hours and the payment for that has tipped me into 80% paid!
I'm thrilled, I feel like this is the home strait for all my old rubbish!
Have been investigating car loans though, which will be a joint debt and will be serviced as such. Joint debts aren't part of my total as this was just for clearing my stuff. Once mine is clear, I'll crack on with the joint stuff. Have managed to get a 3.2% loan approval if we require it, so at least I know my credit file is getting much better!
I realise that sounds bad as I have got other debt that isn't on here, but I know the difference between the 2 - my own debt was bad decisions and very poor choices. The joint debt has been a difficult decision, but I know what every penny has been spent on and we are paying more than what is required to be done before the interest free period is over.
The car loan would be larger than needed to access the better interest rates, but no early payment penalties so a big chunk would be paid back to it immediately if that makes sense. Cars we have been scouting out are 8+ years old so nothing extravagant, just a (working!) safer model than we have now.
I hope that makes sense. Once my debt is paid off, the repayments I currently make will be split between the mortgage OP and joint debt. I have big plans:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)

Well done on 80% :j Must be a good feeling & rightly so as you've worked hard to get there. :TSuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0

It's a fab feeling - but as always I am impatient and just want it to be all gone already
Iam having a bit of a celebration this evening as I'm going out for a meal with my oldest group of friends. One of them is about to pop with a little boy (having tried for years and had 2 failed IVFs she fell pregnant naturally on a diet of cocktails and watersports in Croatia!!) so this is our pre-baby celebration (along with my debt milestone)
They have expensive tastes so we don't get together often - the last time was my best friends wedding last Sept so there is enough in the entertainment budget from the last few months underspendsI won't be going mad but I will be having one of the cheaper menu options
OH will be having an evening on the playstation and then my little canine friend will be arriving tomorrow morningalready planning where I can walk her. She will be knackered when she goes home - she's almost 13 so not as active as she used to be, and my moms health problems mean she isn't regularly taken on long walks, she just runs around their big garden like a loon

Awesome what an amazing story about your friend! Honestly I have met so many people now who seem to have been told they'd never have a baby who now have 2!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Definitely gives me hope Bob
I'm about to get ready for my night out but I am struggling a bit at the moment. For the past few weeks I have been struggling with social events. I'm fine going to work, but I only want to be at work or home, the thought of being out with people makes me quite anxious.
A couple of my local friends know how I've been feeling and have been making an effort to come and see me at home, which is good but still makes me feel a bit unnerved.
I had a buyers breakfast event this morning and had a panic attack in the car when we arrived. It took about 15 minutes to calm down and I was still shaking until we got back to the office.
I'm not sure what is going on, but I am trying to force myself to go out even when I don't want to. It's a nice thought but I'm getting quite panicky about tonight.
I'm sure it will be fine. I need to crack on with it and try to enjoy it.:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
