I could make a payment Bob but I don't know what the bill is. Partly because they've put us on the wrong tariff but mostly because none of the starting meter readings match up to the meter serial numbers on the meter, I can't even work it out based on kWh and pay what I work out
I think I've erred on the side of caution with my estimates but this house is a lot bigger than the old one, although a lot more efficient so I'm not sure what the difference will be.
In the meantime I'm sure OH is getting away with the boiler being on higher than usual because I'm not seeing a difference in readings and nagging....I'm getting lax!

I forgot to say that I can't pay anything for the gas bill because the meter doesn't exist, and so neither does the account. I hope my nagging site works soon because I hate not having accurate bills

What a ball ache! I shouldn't giggle at OH taking liberties with the boiler though ( but I did)

bg are really naughty. I've found you have to keep ringing up over and over until you get someone who knows what they are doing. I tried complaining every which way and being patient and it's got me nowhere. It's not until I got one person who finally put me through to the right team that any thing happened and then it was quicker than they thought. don't do compensation either apparently. even when you're asking for money you've lost out on due to their error. good luck x

  • And now I want cheese scones. I will happily admit to have never baked a scone in my life, but I really feel like I could eat one now.

Sorry ccl, if it helps OH hasn't had cheese scones yet either, as I've still not made them :rotfl:

I've changed the heating times as I'm getting stressed about the gas bill :o plus I'm sure it will start warming up now we are in Feb....

I must have made a right nuisance of myself before Kitten, I've had 2 lots of compensation from them at the old house because they made so many errors with the tariffs! Keep on at them :) In all fairness, only half of the problem is their fault this time around so I can't blame them for the gas issue - that's all down to the site office not getting the meter registered!

Well yesterday was good and bad - we got to the station only to realise I had booked tickets from the wrong station. No idea why, I have never booked tickets from that station before! That little error cost us a fortune yesterday but didn't have much of a choice when we were meeting people there who had already arrived having travelled since 6am :( I am very angry at myself for the mistake but not much I can do about it.
That put us both in a pretty terrible mood, I snapped out of it straight away because I didn't want to ruin the day. OH on the other hand took another hour to even say a word, which had then put me back in a mood :o
It was quite a nice day but I had a bit of a strop when we were supposed to go for something to eat and a glass of wine (budgeted for and had been looking forward to it) but the other couple we were with wanted to go to McDs. Not my idea of a nice meal and that caused another disagreement between OH and I. Then we missed the Haka because I had to wait in a 45 minute queue in starbucks to use the toilet
All in all, some good bits but not the best of days and I'm not in the best of moods that we didn't have a great time and it cost a fortune (my error so my fault really, but still frustrating!)

All the walking has completely done my ankle and hip in also so I've had a very long hot bath this morning which has helped a bit.

Sorry for the grumpy post today, I'm still a bit out of sorts from yesterday!

Hi Kirsty, what a shame that some things didn't go to plan for your day out. The situation with the train tickets must have been so annoying for you but try not to beat yourself up about it, everyone makes mistakes.

I agree with you that McDs wouldn't be somewhere I would want to go when I'd been looking forward to a nice meal out.

Hope your ankle & hip are feeling better now.
