    @diamonds- that modem... :P

Basically did "sell my soul" (partially), still had some data/time left on EE PAYG http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/25gb-double-speed-4g-data-simo-deal-was-30-now-15pm-ee-30-day-rolling-contract-2392377?page=5

Down to the Multi SIM phone, still do have and enjoy Tello for occasional calls, same with TalkMobile, due to their offer ONLY (as CS and general on-line support being poor, just 2g coverage- near the best)

and started contemplating on giving up on current arrangements, just get the portable modem, to use for data for all as phone, tablet and even rusty lap-top.

Checking those- most are 3g only, few that are available and suitable that noted so far- Osprey mini 2 and Huawei e5776 (smaller battery, slower)

Basically, given up on a quest in finding and sharing absolutely best deal AIO SIM, as they all keep on changing offers/prices/allowances/tethering policies... just looking for advice as how good/ bad or best value those MiFi dongles are?
    Thanks!

I carry a old 4G Android as a mifi for phone (using wifi battery lasts longer) lasts longer than a mifi and charges quicker, I have the 1st dongle EE Car Wifi Huawei thing for laptop/pc use.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

ID mobile returned their overpayment of £17 odds, 2 months after they took it and several chase ups.

^EE deal a good one if 4G needed. They really should bring back unlimited (browsing) 3G like T-Mobile, be good if BT Basic was extended to 3G mobile, dreaming...

I see what you say... and only it gets me confused and bedazzled even more... :o
4g already noted only marginally quicker, than "3.5G" HSDPA+
    charges for- unjustifiable.

At 3!5 it should allright for me, for the times I am on the go, but thinking if it would make sense to get 4g dual SIM phone for £60 and use it for main data connection (and maybe to hang on to the 3g 3 SIM phone- AKA "idiot with two mobiles"or...
Getting a chargeable dongle @£50, the bulkier Alcatel Osprey Mini 2, that is rated to have 50 hrs battery...
Still, would mean One big phone and biggish dongle (bigger than most phones) .. still "Id..t with gadgets":D

And all of it, beside my laptop in the boot and main tablet on the seat... :p

Got me thinking... and that isn't the best thing ever...:)

It will never! my £0.02ct... due to the fact, that any of the network providers are concerned for the money "printing" out of customer pockets, never are of interest to be paid for service provided... that is, apart from the issue of their inability to improve services as ie LTE-A... and most of us juggling in the terms of 2g-3g services at costs with 0 relation to the usage...:o

I would agree, that's why I wanted him to explain some more.

Sometimes there are some crazy statements posted...
