I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Regards clothes, there's clothes you change every day, but also things like skirts/trousers/cardigans that you wear for several days, no?
I often wear jeans twice before putting them in the wash, no more than twice though. Everything else I only wear once. Don't wear cardigans very often and never skirts.0 -
Every couple of days is fine. When I was a kid, it was once a week!Stompa0

Hair washed everyday because unfortunately for me, I still have 'greasy teenage hair,' even though it is a long time since I was a teenager!
I would love to leave it a day or two but it is just too greasy. It did improve during pregnancy but back to normal now.0 -

Me too!
I have always washed every day, apart from when I'm v. ill. I can't stand that feeling when you're hair's greasy. I never feel like I've properly woken up, either, until my head has been under the water.0 -
I shower everyday but wash my hair every 2/3 days, it's quite long and frizzy so the whole process of drying and straightening it takes too long and it means getting up extra early everyday... so no! And no, I can't do it at night because it looks horrible in the morning.
I would love to have the energy and willpower to get up early and wash it everyday, but I don't.0 -
I can get away with every 3 days, but in hotter, sweatier weather it's every other. On holiday it often ends up every day! I can't shower without washing my hair.
I don't even do 'essential bits' on in between days which I'm sure some of you find disgusting. My partner would surely tell me if I smelled? He does similar and I would tell him if he needed a shower (on day 3 he does).
Obviously if I've exercised it means showering that day!
I do have long thick hair that takes a really long time to dry even with a hairdryer so getting my hair wet in the morning before work is a big nono.Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
I have to wash my hair every day. I really really wish I didn't need to but although I have long passed teenage years, my hair is all greasy and looking horrible after 24 hours. To make it worse, I have to dry it AND straighten it (no really I have to, I look like a mad woman otherwise). I work full-time, travel up to an hour to get to my office...I have to get up early and by the time I am done with the routine, I am already exhausted!
The only compensation is that my oily complexion means it has kept my face naturally moistered and therefore I have very few wrinkles for someone my age.0 -
My hair is very fine and needs washing every day or it looks lank. I get round it by washing on the first day and using dry shampoo on the second. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Actually - that's not what the trichologist told me at the Philip Kingsley clinic. Nor the dermatologist.
The scalp is no different to any other part of the body - it produces sweat etc and the build up of oil and sweat will smell bad if left unwashed.0
