I have now had this card for a few months and have been trying it out here in the UK prior to going on holiday in Morocco where trying to get MAD prior to going was turning into a problem and thats when it was suggested I get a Revolut Card. After loading it with £20 which is really easy from my bank of Scotland account I tried it out in some shops but it would not work stating the PIN was wrong. It was suggested I try making a small withdrawal at and ATM which I did and since then it has worked fine. I have used it in lots of shops with no problems. The only place it won't work is 'Automated petrol stations' like ASDA. Loading the card is easy using your Smart phone, but there does seem to be about 24hr delay till it is available to use [This appears to be my bank security system]. In the event that you loose it you can also 'Block' the card from your Smart phone with just one click on the App.0

Do you have a balance in more than one currency? If so it will convert all to the local currency.
From the FAQ
Can I check my balance at an ATM?
Yes. The ATM will display a total of your GBP, USD and EUR balances in the local currency. For example, if you check your balance at and ATM in Thailand it will show a total of your three balances in Thai Baht!0 -
I am presently stuck in Panama with Revolut card that will not work.
Cutting a long story short - after hours of phone calls and useless use of "Chat" with Customer Services I find that Revolut have issued hundreds of cards with defective chip and pin which prevents them being used. Revolut have no solution to the problem and offer no help at all. They even refuse to refund the account Ballance back to the originating account.
The essence of the Revolut Customer Service managers position was:
Revolut have a problem that will take a week to fix
Revolut can do nothing to help customers affected
Customer Services do not reply to email or Chat because they "...did not know the answer"
Revolut seems to have a serious problem and, for an organisation that relies on Customer confidence, it seems to treat those affected with distain.
I will be closing my Revolut account and try to retrieve my money when I return to UK.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND Revolution to anyone. I used Revolut because of the MSE recommendation. Perhaps that should be reconsidered.0 -
I have received my revolut debit card 3 weeks ago and have been trying to top up via my "normal" master card debit card since then. unfortunately the card verification fails everytime because the revolut app recognizes my debit card as a credit card. 3 deadlines have been told me from the in app chat support service team, but only after I did chase them. the issue has not been solved yet and the only update I get is "thank you for your patience" I would need a definitive answer if this can be solved otherwise I will order another prepaid card from a different firm.0

There are a couple of people having a negative experience so I thought I'd share my VERY positive one.
Myself and OH moved to Vienna in November, we both got out Revolut cards before leaving, this meant that we could still spend our UK savings without paying for or trying to work out some complicated transfer website or huge bank transfer fees.
I set a pin on my phone, topped it up, and used it five minutes later in the UK. It worked perfectly.
Once in Vienna there was an issue with a few of the cash machines which are set up for tourists. They autumatically try to convert the money into euros, mine was already in euros so it got confused and came up with a charge. I didnt continue with the transaction and tried another machine. I found those directly associated with a local bank worked best.
In store transactions worked every time and I got a text message seconds after to tell me my new balance.
I have since used my card in four other countries. Revolut has saved me an absolute fortune in fees and the worry of carrying cash. Love it.It only takes a second to say 'Thanks, you just saved me a few quid!'

If the physical card is faulty surely the solution is to issue a replacement (although it may not reach you in time to be useful) - are they not offering this? What is the fix that will take a week?
What do you mean by 'refusing to refund the account balance' - can you not action this within the app?Evolution, not revolution0 -

the card is issued by unicredit bank. and it is a debit card connected to my current account. it is neither a prepaid nor a maestro card. one support guy has told me that the card number had to be added to a list in order not be recognized as a credit card. it looks like they have not managed to finish this minor task within 3 weeks.0
