the card is issued by unicredit bank. and it is a debit card connected to my current account. it is neither a prepaid nor a maestro card. one support guy has told me that the card number had to be added to a list in order not be recognized as a credit card. it looks like they have not managed to finish this minor task within 3 weeks.
Thanks for the info, let's hope they can sort it out. Bank debit cards issued in different countries seem to operate in various ways, and I think Revolut put extra restrictions on which ones are accepted to avoid losing money on interchange fees. Let us know how it goes.

Do you have a balance in more than one currency? If so it will convert all to the local currency.

    From the FAQ
Can I check my balance at an ATM?
Yes. The ATM will display a total of your GBP, USD and EUR balances in the local currency. For example, if you check your balance at and ATM in Thailand it will show a total of your three balances in Thai Baht!

only dollars. anyhow, it shows a balance i had several weeks ago :)

Im thinking of getting one of these cards as i dont like carrying too much cash and after my wife had her purse lifted in Spain last year its the way to go i think.
I have looked at the website and it says there is a £500 limit for atm withdrawals per month, thats ok BUT what it doesnt say is if you are allowed to draw amounts and limits. I like to budget so would like to draw say 100 euros every couple of days, i dont want to draw one amount only while on holiday, can you do that?
I will only be using it for atm withdrawals.

The Revolut card can be used for ATM withdrawals in just the same way as other cards, you choose the amount and frequency of withdrawals. The daily ATM withdrawal limit is £2000 or equivalent. The £500 / €650 / $700 monthly limit is for fee-free ATM withdrawals, further amounts withdrawn are charged at 2%.

Any particular reason why you would not use it also for purchases?

on some russian forums i read they can block your card if you're using it only for atm withdrawn.
can't vouch if it's true or not, but anyhow, better ask them on twitter.

So angry! I applied & got Revolut card because of promise of £5 as long as you credit £10 etc etc. On 16th March I was assured by their 'support' that this would definitely be done.

Fast forward to today. I duly credited £200 and the support now says I have to credit with £500!!

How can they change goalposts like this. It's awful and now the customer support not 'talking' to me. It's frightening how faceless these things are.

    DO NOT GET YJIS CARD.

I cannot believe MSE is promoting this. It's an absolute con.

Did you add the promotional code on the application.

I forgot and didn't get the fiver ( quite rightly)

My son did add the code and guess what he got the fiver the instant he topped up with a tenner

Yes I did ! As soon as I opened the accoun ie downloaded app once I'd put code in etc etc I sent them a message to confirm and to then query when I'd get the amount. They stated quite clearly (I have the messages in app) that once icredit £10 I'd get the bonus....

To move the goalposts just seems really disingenuous and I don't trust them one bit. I credited some money today but I've already sent it back to my bank account-it just all seems very dodgy.

Customer service doesn't exist and just who would you complain to? They're too anonymous for my liking...

Seriously how/why do MSE promote such outfits-frightening.

because you didn't get your free fiver, you joined mse to tell everyone that Revolut is a con?
