I don't understand why you think card delivery is unimportant. Anyway I note from viewing the app on my phone this morning that the dates in the "My Card" section are not there and look to have been removed.

    The same for me, Anthorn.

Whether or not the card shows up is now irrelevant for me, I think. I want to use this app, but such a vague and chaotic timeline for the card it's self has put me right off and I'll take up something else, I think.

Card delivery is of course important, I was saying that the delivery process indicator on the app is not. Your cards are very likely in the Xmas mail and you are reliant on that, it's no use being fixated on what the indicator shows.

Please let us know when you find an alternative card that is as versatile and reliable as Revolut, is equally free of any charges and has a delivery indicator that is accurate.

I don't think the Christmas post has started yet. Certainly, I'm not experiencing any delay with several letters and parcels recieved recently.

We don't know if Revolut is reliable: It doesn't have a track record. I'm attracted to it because it will be more versatile for me than currently transferring between my U.K. and French bank accounts and using two debit cards - when it's up and running which I think will not be anytime soon. Look at it this way, I'm not holding my breath waiting for my card!

There isn't of course - that's why I chose Revolut. But even with fees with another card, at least I know where I stand. Revolut is not being upfront with it's time frames. Not good enough.

I agree. I would certainly feel unsettled under those circumstances.

I made some progress in "Verify My Identity" under "Profile" under Settings (lines icon bottom right in the app). That is now "Failed" and an email from "sara" with the subject, "Revolut Verification" asks,
Can you please send through a photo of either your passport or drivers licence, a selfie and a selfie holding the ID next to your face. Once you send this through we can verify it for you."
It looks like my previous verification sent through the app of photos of my passport and a letter from D.W.P. either didn't work or wasn't good enough.

How on earth does a selfie prove my identity? Do they think the passport has been stolen? What are the photos going to be used for?

Probably needless to say I won't be doing this. The probable effect is that with only £1000 annual maximum load I won't be making anywhere near the number of transactions I would have made. But the physical Revolut Mastercard has still not arrived and I'm not really expecting it at all. I think I've given Revolut a fair shot and it fails. I'm forever the optimist and I'll give it another 10 days and then it's going to be cancelled.

Lastly, don't get me wrong here: I'll bend over backwards to prove who I am and I have several ways to do that and I can very easily take a selfie and attach it to an email. I just don't understand why a selfie is necessary and I am concerned about the possible use of the photos. At the very least, sending such items by email is not secure.
  • I'll just add that my card arrived earlier than advertised and I've been quite satisfied with the product. Tip: block your card while it's in the post, otherwise you're mailing a live card.

Just a heads up, I ordered my card on the 3rd which said dispatched on the 4th however speaking to support today they have advised that any cards ordered after the 1st December wont be sent out until the 5th January. They have however offered to send a card without my name on it by recorded mail so I should get it sooner.

I assume so, I am going away soon and they are trying to get it to me before I go. They didnt say anything about having to pay for it just that the card would be sent without a name on it and I could use it as normal. I guess this is something they can do as a last resort.
