I had ordered my card about 2 weeks ago and received it on Wednesday... Online now says "To be printed 24th December"

I think there must be some sort of error in their system? Surely.

Almost a carbon copy of you last reply to one of my posts. Don't you have anything new to say?

Perhaps I'm being unreasonable in my standpoint, but I actually want a service to actually be finished when it's launched and provide the service I was promised when I signed up. I don't want a temporary emergency card and I don't want to buy anything online and I don't want to transfer. Nowhere diid I see information that I would have to wait two months or more for the card which completes the service and allows me to buy goods and services in shops and stores. I think it's ridiculous to have to wait so long. But that information is still not displayed on their web site nor on the app page viewed prior to downloading it.

How am I whining? I am honestly conveying my experiences which I hope will be of benefit to others. It's a shame others have not been so honest. I am actually optimistic about it and still dribbling in GBP every week even though I know that since I'm off to France on January 4th Revolut will be commpletely useless for me. Perhaps it will be up and running when I get back 3 months later. But perhaps not. Who knows? Certainly not me.

Why not just put your money back into your bank account, so that we don't have to put up with your endless complaining. If it's not First Direct, it's Kalixa. If it's not Kalixa, it's Revolut.
Why not just use cash? If does what it says and then you don't have to criticise and complain all day.
The rest of us understand that it is a business in it's infancy and we wish to encourage and look to the positive, rather than to dwell on the negative.
The service has many good points and hopefully will prove to be successful.
So please, we don't need to read your constant whining each day. By all means, update us as to when the card arrives. Until then.

Why not just put your money back into your bank account,

If everyone did that Revolut would fail rather quickly wouldn't it, suffering from lack of funds. However they could already be suffering from a lack of profit due to a lack of transactions which in turn is due to account holders not having their card. You really must at least try to consider the implications of the ideas in your posts.

btw the card dates in my Revolut app have changed yet again. Now I have "Issued 29 Nov Posted 23 Dec Expected 29 Dec". Maybe they will change again tomorrow, who knows?

The rest of your post is just more of the same you usually post. This thread is about Revolut just in case you don't know. It's not about Kalixa nor First Direct.

On Revolut, yes it does have many good points: Just a shame Revolut can't deliver what it promises. Yes, it's a business startup funded by venture capital and it's a service which will be beneficial to me when it's finished which is why I'm supporting it but only with funds I can afford to lose which isn't a lot.

Yes, there's obviously a bug in the card delivery schedule on the app, or it may be the info coming from the card supplier. The app is updated quite often, I can imagine that they have to be very careful when fixing a bug not to cause two or three other bugs that might have more serious effects in what is a very sophisticated system.

Anyway, those awaiting their card delivery should ignore what the app says and just hope that the Xmas mail does not delay it too much.

    If everyone did that <snip>

    Not everyone, just you.

I would be happy enough to lose you as a customer if it were my business. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle. So if you aren't happy with the service, give it up.

What service? I'm not getting any service. As far as I'm concerned it's one-sided. I give them my money and they keep it.

So now there's more coming out of this thread: The Revolut app is faulty!

If you refer to my previous post, I can say from my experience that the remarkably versatile and sophisticated app performs perfectly in its main functions. The current issue with the card delivery process indicator (according to reports here including yours) is relatively unimportant, and may well be affected by external circumstances.

Having an unreasonably negative attitude very often results in a negative experience.

On this thread, everything is being revealed sooner or later - most people seem to be happy using Revolut.

I'd posted last week about my signing up on 21st Nov. The app suggested it would arrive 30th, but it's hadn't arrived by 2nd Dec, which was the last day before my trip, so I'm afraid I can't offer any usage feedback.

Unfortunate, but not a worry, as I obviously wasn't expecting to rely on it solely anyway, but suffice to say it's probably a good idea to look into this, and maybe other, prepaid cards a little further in advance of any trip (i.e. before holiday mode kicks in :)).

I don't understand why you think card delivery is unimportant. Anyway I note from viewing the app on my phone this morning that the dates in the "My Card" section are not there and look to have been removed.
  • Used Revolut for 3 weeks in the USA to pay for everything, no
problems at all. Great rates too - fully recommended.
