Ask Support to send you out an emergency card if you are leaving this week.
I found support to be a nightmare. I posted my query & waited about 7-8 hours without reply. Then someone replied, asked me the issue again, and told me to wait....and then I heard nothing for another 5-6 hours . This continued for nearly 24 hours until I was told to top up my account by £10 & an emergency card would be sent to me.
Lets hope it arrives!0 -
Just a quick question about this card (again, Support not too keen to respond to my query!)
I got my emergency card. I changed the PIN no. I then loaded it with £20 & all went through. I then went to my local store and spent £3 without any issues.
Certain that all was well after the trial runs, I tried to then load it up with £500 for my hols, and it got declined & they say 'contact your bank!'0 -

Try topping up in smaller amounts. Perhaps your bank didn't like the transaction....or do a bank transfer.
Can understand support having issues when people are contacting them in a panic about every little thing.0 -

I just noticed today that when i was trying to add funds i kept getting an 'Unknown Error Occurred' message, i i deleted my Credit Card and tried to add it again to see if it fixed the problem but got a message saying that they dont accept credit cards!.
I used to like using this app but there is no way im going to add my current account bank card to this app, i was happy to add my credit card as it wasn't really my own money and there wasn't like a balance of £2000 sitting on my credit card (which there is on my current account, now that they are force people to use there bank cards i dont think ill use it anymore, such a shame.
Is there an alternative that can be used at all??0 -

If you do find an alternative service which allows you to use your own money without charge worldwide, plus load with your credit card, please let us know..!Evolution, not revolution0 -

They don't force people to use their bank cards. You can top up via bank transfer. Don't be such a drama queen.
Other cards charge for topping up with a CC anyway. Don't bite off your own nose in order to get revenge on your face.0 -
I've just come back from a three week trip to the US. I got a Revolut card before I went. The verification process doesn't work using your phone, and there are no instructions on how to do it anyway. I did manage to get it done by emailing the support team. As for ATM withdrawals in the US, this card was next to useless. Only once did I get an ATM to spit out some cash without a fee (Bank of America) - although the next time I went to a BoA ATM it wanted $3. I tried five different banks and they all wanted between $3 - $5 per transaction. Ironically I used it in an ATM in a restaurant that took cash only and it only charged me $1.50. I made one purchase as an experiment and that worked fine, but I already have a no-fee Nationwide credit card that gave me pretty good transaction rates while we were away, and I took some cash with me that covered a fair bit of the trip. If you want a card to use with a set budget in mind this might be ok, but certainly in the US as a cash card this is a dud. I have better things to do on holiday than tour ATMs!0
