East Europeans make the best cleaners.
The have most experience with the Polish.

First of all thought he'd misplaced them but, to be fair, he leaves them plugged into his laptop and never takes them out of the house.
Realised the last time he saw them was sunday night. We have a young eastern european girl who cleans for us on mondays. She seems nice enough and doesn't seem the type but still I guess its very tempting - sell on ebay for £100.
Nothing else appears to be missing but I must admit I am wondering.
Obviously, I can't accuse her because we're not sure. But what can we do?
I guess if she has taken them theres nothing we can prove anyway.....[/QUOTE]
Sorry if someone else has mentioned it but what has the nationality of the lady to do with this?
I worked in an office and small items used to go missing. Nearly everyone blamed the cleaner.
After 3 years she left to have baby and another cleaner was employed.
Items continued to go missing and she too was the prime suspect!0 -

Well, I do because in the same post I did say "As much as I love the UK, we are quite an ignorant bunch at times.". I can see that you bolded "non-English", this is a minor mistake and I would be hopeful that one could read between the lines and realise that DO comprehend that point. Or maybe I was demonstrating how ignorant we [the people of UK] can be!!! :rotfl:
Fun and games aside, I can see that you have Welsh in your signature. You may therefore be Welsh! Let me tell you a story:
I recently had my ipod go mssing. The last time I saw my ipod was sunday night. We have a young Southern Welsh girl who cleans for us on mondays. She seems nice enough and doesn't seem the type but still I guess its very tempting - sell on ebay for £100.
Why would I possibly consider mentioning the Southern Welsh (or even just Welsh) fact? Doesn't it strike you as a bit odd that I have highlighted that fact? To some people it is an indication that you have a prejudice towards said person based on their nationality. I mean the age thing is similar too (young), but that is relatively ok because I would be inclined to say that young people tend to steal more than old people (but those Eastern Europeans aren't half as troublesome as those Welsh people!).
The best thing to say is "my cleaner" because you show no possible prejudice AND you avoid potentially colouring any replies from people who identify with such a predjudice
No I'd agree with you. There are some right thieving scummers from the S Wales valleys..... (which is where I was born and brought up BTW). You'd be spot on! :rotfl:0 -
The facts are:
1) You're a person, and some people murder other people.
2) There have been a lot of murders in this country, perpetrated by people native to this country.
3) People have been murdered, and recently too.
... Now I'm not saying you're a murderer, but, you know, it is a possibility.
Perhaps I am :-)0 -
Did you find them yet Paul?
Nope.
BUT shes, out of the blue said shes quitting cleaning and going home for good. First we'd heard of it but she text last night and is gone today apparently. Make of that what you will I'm not saying a thing.
FYI - I haven't said a thing to her at all in any way accusing her. All I did was ask, at the beginning, if she'd seem them lying around.
Sorry too many co-incidences here now....0 -

It was the way you phrased your posts on here that some posters disagreed with.0
