You job only comes into it because from what you've posted previously I formed an opinion (obvioulsy erroneously) that you were capable of accepting a number of posters points that you had in fact accused this girl of theft.
I don't actually care how much you earn.
But in my company, someone who jumped to such conclusions based on so little facts would be in trouble, regardless of how good they were at their job.

No, you called a young Eastern European girl a thief.

It doesn't follow that this girl stole your son's headphones.

I would agree that theft is one of the possibilities.
One of the other possibilities is that someone other than your cleaner took the headphones.

Hang on now aren't you agreeing with me here? Thats its a possibility? ISnt this what I said?

Maybe you should get rid of the cleaner and pay your son to do the housework instead...he's going to need to earn some money to replace those headphones, after all.

I'm agreeing that it's a possibility that the headphones have been stolen.

Cherry-picking a small part of someone else's post does not put you in the right.

You disregarded the following and zeroed in on the part in bold.

I think everyone is well aware of whom the sad case is in this thread. ;)

Particulary as it seems very likely he lost them in the first place!
;68758851]Not sure where my job comes into this. I hope this is not going down the lines of "These people who earn loads don't deserve it because they're all stupid really and lack common sense. Not like us who work hard for a living"

Sorry I call a spade a spade. The FACTS are:-

    1) Not only are cleaners ideally placed to nick things being in your house, it does happen a lot. Fact.

    2) There is lots of crime in this country caused by Eastern European immigrants - It is a fact.

    3) Its gone missing. At the moment, there is no explanation. Theft is one of the possibilities.
The facts are:
    1) You're a person, and some people murder other people.

    2) There have been a lot of murders in this country, perpetrated by people native to this country.

    3) People have been murdered, and recently too.

... Now I'm not saying you're a murderer, but, you know, it is a possibility.
;68758649]You know whats quite funny. You seem to be inferring that my mention of the cleaners nationality is an issue and that we're all part of the EU.

Yet you still don't seem to comprehend that the UK is more than just England. Oh dear- FAIL.
Well, I do because in the same post I did say "As much as I love the UK, we are quite an ignorant bunch at times.". I can see that you bolded "non-English", this is a minor mistake and I would be hopeful that one could read between the lines and realise that DO comprehend that point. Or maybe I was demonstrating how ignorant we [the people of UK] can be!!! :rotfl: :o

Fun and games aside, I can see that you have Welsh in your signature. You may therefore be Welsh! Let me tell you a story:

I recently had my ipod go mssing. The last time I saw my ipod was sunday night. We have a young Southern Welsh girl who cleans for us on mondays. She seems nice enough and doesn't seem the type but still I guess its very tempting - sell on ebay for £100.

Why would I possibly consider mentioning the Southern Welsh (or even just Welsh) fact? Doesn't it strike you as a bit odd that I have highlighted that fact? To some people it is an indication that you have a prejudice towards said person based on their nationality. I mean the age thing is similar too (young), but that is relatively ok because I would be inclined to say that young people tend to steal more than old people (but those Eastern Europeans aren't half as troublesome as those Welsh people!).

The best thing to say is "my cleaner" because you show no possible prejudice AND you avoid potentially colouring any replies from people who identify with such a predjudice
