Sons expensive Beats headphones....
First of all thought he'd misplaced them but, to be fair, he leaves them plugged into his laptop and never takes them out of the house.
Realised the last time he saw them was sunday night. We have a young eastern european girl who cleans for us on mondays. She seems nice enough and doesn't seem the type but still I guess its very tempting - sell on ebay for £100.
Nothing else appears to be missing but I must admit I am wondering.
Obviously, I can't accuse her because we're not sure. But what can we do?
I guess if she has taken them theres nothing we can prove anyway.....

You seem to have regular issues with cleaners and cleaning companies. Really unlucky ....0

I should think somebody would be more likely to take any small change lying around if they were that way inclined lying rather than a set of headphones - it's too noticeable, and they would know that they'd be missed.0

Ask her, not because she's taken them because as LadyDee already pointed out they are a bit too obvious to take but because she probably saw where they were (or where she tidied them to) on Monday.Kate short for Bob.

Yes I was thinking it would be too obvious a thing to nick to be honest. Red headphones connected to laptop on table.
BUT, everyone knows they cost money and it'd be an easy thing to sell....0 -
Is there any chance she may have tidied them away? Ask her whether she's seen them and pay close attention to her reaction. There may be an innocent explanation but at least she will know you're aware they've disappeared. Set up a webcam to spy on her of you suspect she may be stealing.0

How old is your son? Any chance he's had friends in while you've been out.0

No he had them sunday night. Then he couldnt find them last night.
First of all thought he'd misplaced them but cant find them anywhere. Only other person in the house was cleaner (on her own) monday daytime...0 -
I think you should give her the benefit of doubt until you ask her. If she has not taken them she may feel offended so be diplomatic. But it is not fair to lay the blame on her if she has tied them away. "put the somewhere safe"?
Ok a bit far fetched but there could be an innocent answer.Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -

Agree. But if she has taken them shes not going to admit to it I dont think.
Thing is shes unlikely to have put them away. They've been in same spot - plugged into laptop on table for months.0
