I'm of the opinion that if someone persistently has a problem with one particular type of person they interact with it almost always the person who thinks they have the problem that is in the wrong.
Yes this is probably true, though I do appreciate that the role of cleaner may well give rise to a higher incidence of opportunistic thieves and possibly people who have fell a bit short in society (after all, children don't dream of being cleaners!).(making sure to let everyone know she's from Eastern Europe).
Haha yea, I never understand this. What is the big deal with pointing out their nationality? It is quite comical because they will have the same right to live and work in the UK as we do (EU citizen)! ALSO, they'll be from a poorer country and will probably be doubling their monthly wage just with the cleaning job! On paper, there is not much incentive in stealing when you are getting paid comparatively well. As the old saying goes, innocent until proven guilty!
As much as I love the UK, we are quite an ignorant bunch at times. It is a wonder that we are still in the EU if the Eastern Europeans allegedly keep nicking our expensive 'beats' headphones!Oh the insanity!!
To be fair, why not just man up and ask her, and stop airing your dirty laundry in public?
Yep, this! Although, I wouldn't say no to a hidden camera too if you are that way inclined. Just don't get caught, as !!!! will hit the fan, but at least then you won't be speculating about whether your Polish cleaner stole it (or maybe it was Fernando from Mexico? Or maybe [insert non-English name] from [a country not in the UK]). :rotfl:0 -
;68753747]No I've not been unfair to her at all. I've not accused her - all I've done so far is ask her politely.
There is a difference to what is done to people in real life and what is discussed on an anonymous forum after all.....
Its not as if I've released her identity is it?
You may well have unwittingly released her identity.
You have posted about all sorts of your family issues over a long period of time (and, no, I'm not stalking you, I just remember your threads) so I don't think it unreasonable that someone may be able to identify you from what you have written and therefore assume that you believe that the young, Eastern European girl you have currently as a cleaner has stolen from you.
If you can't read back through your posts on this thread and comprehend what nasty things you have written about this girl, you are not as intelligent as I assumed from your other threads.0 -

You know whats quite funny. You seem to be inferring that my mention of the cleaners nationality is an issue and that we're all part of the EU.
Yet you still don't seem to comprehend that the UK is more than just England. Oh dear- FAIL.0 -

Oh dear. Hmmm. Not a lot I can say is there to someone who feels the need to be abusive is there?0 -

Maybe you'd like to explain what part(s) of my post are abusive.
I'm not the only poster to think you have accused this girl of theft.
From the information you've shared on your other threads, I got the impression you were of above average intelligence working in a well paid job.
If you really can't see that what you have written earlier about this girl, then my impression of you is wrong.

If the girl's nationality is not an issue (for you), why mention it in the first place?
Would you have said?Realised the last time he saw them was sunday night. We have a young Scottish girl who cleans for us on mondays.0 -

No, you wouldn't.
Not sure where my job comes into this. I hope this is not going down the lines of "These people who earn loads don't deserve it because they're all stupid really and lack common sense. Not like us who work hard for a living"
Sorry I call a spade a spade. The FACTS are:-
1) Not only are cleaners ideally placed to nick things being in your house, it does happen a lot. Fact.
2) There is lots of crime in this country caused by Eastern European immigrants - It is a fact.
3) Its gone missing. At the moment, there is no explanation. Theft is one of the possibilities.0 -
Paul tends to call abuse when he gets replies he doesn't like to read
Maybe I just have a life and don't get a kick out of causing arguments with strangers on internet forums. Lot of people on there who seem to have build up quite a life for themselves doing that.
You can guarantee that WHATEVER you post there will be someone who will come along and say:-
1) You don't want to do it like that.
2) Its your fault in the first place.
3) Your a scrounger/scumbag.
4) Your thick but I know it all.
Or all 4.
Do you know what - I might create a new user, make up a fictional post and test my theory.0
