Is anyone else waiting for their refund from Dell?

    Its taking its time!

Yes, me! It's 13 days since they took the money out. - and 11 days since the first cancellation e-mail saying it would take up to 5 working days to get refunded.

oh, is this another of those
"let's sue them because they won't sell us a £10,000 gold bar that was mispriced at 42p"
    threads?

for a moment there I thought I'd strayed onto www.moneygrabbingexpert.com

no you've stumbled upon a thread that
    1. involves one of the largest computer companies in the world.
    2. who advertise/offer a product cheaply but not at a totally unrealistic price.
    3. people submit the application to purchase
    4. the company accept the offer to purchase
    5. send confirmation via email with 2 conflicting sets of terms and conditions
    6. take payment from peoples accounts (not held payments or pending)
    7. send further emails advising of new delivery dates
    8. eventually email most people advising of an error days after the event.
    9. still have hold of peoples money

now i'm not an expert but they have gone far further down the road than any other previous 'misprice'

so that's it in a nutshell (which i don't want to chew )

    Blimey o Riley!

I saw the heading for the external hard drive for £23.86 and thought I'd have one.

To be honest I think someone from Dell should be publicly flogged and pay huge amount of compensation to make up for the massive upset I've had to go through.

    The swines!

No, if you read about all the other misprices on these forums, you'll probably find a set formula on how they go.....
    Misprice found
    Misprice posted
    People pile in
    Misprice closes
People say that they hope the one they ordered arrives
People say that they hope the fifty they ordered to resell on ebay will arrive
People get cross that someone ordered 50, and they didn't think of it/ get chance to order 50
    People get confirmations
Some call the company to see if they'll send them at this price
They get shouted at for calling the company
    People cross fingers
    Some get cancelled
    Most get cancelled
    Everyone picks apart the T&C
    People talk about legal action
    rest get cancelled
People get refunds about a week after promised
    People talk about legal action
People (like me) come and mock
Everyone gets defensive and say that it's different this time, as they've broken the law/T&C/customer trust

so that's it in a nutshell (which i don't want to chew )
You'd be much better chewing the nut, rather than just the shell.... it's much more tasty.
  • Well said Ambla_Gambla.

Your post neatly sums up this misprice thread and just about every other misprice I`ve seen on here,it should be made a sticky.

Very nice, that is exactly how it goes and will carry on doing apart from you missed the "seller on Ebay who has to take his listing down due to his supplier letting him down" bit, as I said I will be the first to apologise if I'm wrong but I wont be hanging on tenderhooks.
