I have yet to hear of ANY successful court action, maybe if someone who wants to sue them, took as much time in the lagal action as posting brave and heroic statements on here someone would win, in the meantime I'll get on with my life.
Same here, usual reams of drivel, empty threats, legal expert advice from the unqualified " lawyers ", nobody will get a result, if I am wrong I will happily apologise.0 -
I really don't get what the problem is with the people here who have a problem with the people who are having a problem!
It's a thread about an offer that hasn't been honoured, and just the problems we're having with it (like me not getting refunded yet!) If you don't like it, don't read it, and definitely don't post and moan about it!

Indeed its a few emails I have sent the same amount of time folk have been on here saying wasting time, I really wonder. If anyone thinks its a waste great but they are wasting as much time as us.
I Want my money back please and my HDs too now.0 -

I have been in court a few times having taking big companies to task and hit the national daily headlines earlier this year for being the first person to take a bank to court, win the case and then have to get the bailiffs in. For what? £30.
If people like me don't stand up and say "No", then companies like Dell will run roughshod over all of us.
I don't want to have to take that kind of action an am attempting to press Dell into a negotiated settlement. Given this and the prejudice that posting on here may have, I will not post again.
As in every case, each and every one who's been affected by this should deal with it in a way that they are comfortable with and having people posting glib comments is simply unhelpful.
What astonishes me is the ready acceptance of today's society to be shafted time and time again by all-powerful corporations (and government) and just sit back and accept it. This attitude simply encourages these people who have an unfair advantage of money to do it again and again becuase it's easy to get away with it.
It's been easy to get away for bank charges for years until a few people challenged it. Now, this year alone, it's estimated that over £400 million has been repaid to customers in unlawful charges. That's real consumer power - if you don't want that power - stick to read-only mode as you're not posting any messages that are remotely useful to others.
I admit, a legal challenge is never guaranteed to fall in your favour. It's a tough call and will take time and, probably some anguish. It's not for everyone and it's for each to decide how to deal with it.
My comments on here have been aimed at providing hope and encouragement to those who are tenacious enough to press the issue. At the very least, pressing the issue is better than accepting the situation as it stands.
How a person can compare this to a government duping people is beyond me.
Dell are not shafting us they had a simple disclaimer in the emails.
If you are going to take up a cause pick a decent one cause you only live once and this one is a stinker.Nice to save.0 -

There is no comparison made as such. It's a point about being shafted by seemingly unchallengable organisations.0 -

you arent being shafted it was a mistake thats all, I'm sure there are people out there with too much time on their hands we get them all the time in my work we call them "professional moaners" usually but not always 45-65 years old, semi or fully retired who want something to keep themselves occupied. these people will complain about anything and everything.0 -
pay1974, have you been refunded yet? I'm still waiting.0

you seem to have a lot of time to comment on something that you have no interest in.
if anyone is successful in challenging dell over this issue i would keep it to yourself . i feel quite positive at the moment that i'm getting somewhere.
5 minutes per email to dell is hardly taking chunks out of my free time0 -
Is anyone else waiting for their refund from Dell?
Its taking its time!0
