It does what it says on the tin,and 18185,18866,and 1899 are all owned by the same people, and operate in the same way.Charges may differ slightly to some destinations.

Not all suppliers offer indirect access via short code, and no supplier is reuired to do so anymore not even BT.

If you cant use the indirect code they offer freephone access but the rates are different.

If you have inclusive minutes callstunt.com and callsdiscount.com offer calls at no extra cost to USA/Canada via a 0161 number.

I used to use both a few years ago, great, and still owe them money, as they didn't take the last bills, too low.
Left my DD's with them but, 12 years now, and still haven't.
    A/cs still open.
It was recurring back then, but, changed to DD.
    was 1ppm to spain then.

I've been using 18185 for nearly 6 years for daytime calls only (I have an inclusive evening/weekends package)- just paid a bill for 5 months of £2.64 !! A quick fag packet calculation suggests that if I'd dialled direct thru my telecom provider,Plusnet, the cost would have been nearly £80 !!!:T
In the years I've been using the service I can only remember 2 or 3 occasions where there have been connection issues, and only a handful of times ,has the quality been poor.
Grab it while you can -because sooner than later, they are going to cut off these IACs !!

And (thankfully, because my GL likes 50+ minute chats with her sister in Menorca) it still is!
Their - possessive pronoun (owned by them e.g. "They locked their car").
    They're - colloquial/abbreviated version of 'They are'
There - noun (location other than here e.g. "You can buy groceries there") OR adverb (in or at that place e.g. "They have lived there for years") OR adverb (to or towards that place e.g. "Go there at noon") OR adverb (in that matter e.g. " I agree with you there").

In 2014, they started charging calls to 03 numbers at a different rate to calls to 01 and 02 numbers. Soon after this was reported to Ofcom the pricing was amended. Current status is unknown.

From 1 July 2015, they have been required to declare their Access Charge for calls to 084 and 087 numbers, but don't appear to have done so.

Funny, I was sure my call to an 0333 number a couple of days ago was announced with 'zero pence per minute' so I checked online:

    - 2 mins 16 secs: 5p

That would be 0p per minute + 5p connection fee, then.

They do support calls to 03 numbers now they call them UK fixed calls same as they do 01/02

    http://www.18185.co.uk/index2.php

Its either 5p connection and 0p a minute if your using 18185 indirectly.

Or its 5p connection and 1p a minute if you use Freephone Access.

Its easy to find out if they support numbers and the cost. Just dial number and listen to announcement.

Has anybody reported 18185 and their sister companies to OFCOM for not amending their pricing to show an access charge for 084 and 087 numbers?
