Mattel has recalled millions of toys

That is completely different to mine.
Mine is about a third of the size and makes no mention of the catolue or any recall pack.
Not sure what will happen with my request then. I have the return proof of postage so will wait a couple of weeks and see if I get any sort of reply.
I thought it was strange that all the items had prices and also there was no where for me to put what item I had choosen on my recall note.
Thanks for sharing the letter with me so I could see the difference.
Strangely mine is from the same lady though so not sure what is going on!:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A0 -
Boots sent me a letter to tell me about this or I would never have known. We have about 7 items of polly pocket on the list from Mattel. Boots are offering an exchange or refund. I have emailed Mattel for the return label. I bought one for definite from Boots because my DD was with me at the time but I thought I'd bought the Snow Hotel from there too but my letter says you bought one of the affected toys! They are offering a refund (bought the Limo in a sale - do you think they'll remember?) Ha! I'm going to take both the Limo and Snow Hotel back to Boots tomorrow and see if she can get a refund to buy something else and see what Mattel offers in the brochure but after reading this thread I don't know if that's the best thing.
Boots list the lines that are affected and were sold by Boots as:-
Polly Pocket Rockin' Theme Park
Polly Pocket Theme Park Accessories
Polly Pocket Dress and Drive
Polly Pocket Pollywood Limo Scene
Polly Pocket Pollyworld Snow Cool Hotel
Polly Pocket Pollyworld Dial A Style
Polly Pocket Pet Show Accessories
Polly Pocket Boutique
The Mattel web sites lists product numbers that can be found underneath the toys i.e. Snow Cool Hotel number G8612 and when I checked their list against the ones we have I found a few and they are all on the recall list - dates do not seem relevant to this list as none of mine were bought after 1 May this year.
I'll let you know what happens at Boots and if they don't accept both I'm off to Sainsbury's!:j Addicted to money saving0 -
Well I have an update on my exchange through Mattel of my Polly Pocket jewellery maker for a Dora kitchen.
We had a knock on the door this morning and I got my Dora kitchen!! Am so surprised as even though I was told I could choose anything because of other peoples experiences on here I presumed I had been wrongly advised.
Am so pleased.:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A0 -
I can't decide whether to send back DDs Polly Pocket Rockin' Tour Bus. I don't see any danger of her swallowing anything.
My hesitation is down to the agro, upset, tears and tatrums that are going to ensue when taking away a favourite toy. If I do send it back, I really want to know what I am going to be offering her in return before removing it from her. She actually likes the magnetic clothes feature as much as the rest of the toy!!!
I believe it came from Woolies but as it was a present, have no receipt. Anyone experienced their policy on this matter yet? Anyone have any idea how much it would have originally cost?
Thanks7 Angel Bears for LovingHands Autumn Challenge. 10 KYSTGYSES. 3 and 3/4 (ran out of wool) small blanket/large square, 2 premie blankets, 2 Angel Claire Bodywarmers0 -

I am in the same situation. My dd doens't want to give her favourite toys back. My DD got the Pollyworld theme park from my Nan for Xmas. I know she got if from Woolies but Nan hasn't got the receipt.0 -
Not sure about this, but any loss is not going to be incurred by Woolies,as its the manufacturers fault. They are a good company and I would think they might accept it without the receipt.0

Took the Limo and Snow Cool Hotel back to Boots today and my daughter got £38 back which she promptly spent in Argos! There was a sign behind the counter about recalled Mattel toys. No box and no receipt though I did take my letter from Boots but I'm not 100% sure I bought them both from there, I think I did but I didn't have any trouble. I'm waiting for the label from Mattel for the other things and she can choose from the catalogue.
Well done Kool-mumma with your Dora Kitchen - was there anything in the catalogue to suit a 10 year old girl (who can be going on 25 when she wants)? Thanks.:j Addicted to money saving0 -

I sent the catalogue back to them as I didn't know how to tell them what I wanted as unlike everyone else I had no form.
As I recall on the last page there were some games for older ones though I can't remember quite what as I was looking for toys for a four year old girl. I thought the caatologue was huge and had lots of choice. Though now I am wondering if I even had the same catalogue as most other people as have read lots of complaints on here about lack of choice.
If I still had the catalogue I would have happily listed the toys for you.
Those I remember as my daughter was interested in them are:-
Lazy Town Stephanie Dress up
Lazy Town Sportacus Dress up
Dora kitchen - this is what we got and it's huge and very noisy!
Cars little miniture cards
Dora magic castle
Games for older ones at the back - though can't remember what.
Obviously a lot more than that so will edit as I remember more
Well done on getting your money back from Boots.:T Benjamin has won!!! Am soooo proud. Thank you to everyone who agreed my baby was the cutiest. Want to go round and hug everyone who voted, it means so much to me!:A0 -
Thanks Kool-mumma - you don't remember any more Polly Pocket do you? My DD is really mixed about giving these toys up and wants to replace some with newer Polly Pocket things that she's seen or heard about!
Thank you for what you can remember anyway as she's happier knowing there are some older games too.:j Addicted to money saving0
