Little question as panicking, with the snow forecast what is eurostar like, hoping it will be fine by sunday snow forecast thur/fri at the mo?

We travel by train to london on the sat so hope that will be ok, main line into kings cross.

Dont mind if it snows us in once there but want to get there lol.

Yes, I'm panicking a little too, DD leaves early Saturday morning, I'm hoping it doesn't snow Friday night

  • We want to got to DLP 1st June for 5 days but can't see any offers matching those days :( (Coincides with the late May bank holiday/jubilee dates). Is it worth me holding on further in the hope they offer a discount or is that unlikely to happen and it's full price or nothing? It's a tough one because we do want to go but full price is a lot and I'd be gutted to find DLP start discounting nearer the time. However we need to make a decision in the next two weeks..argh! what to do?!

    Thank you
  • Hi DLP experts :)

I'm thinking of booking 3 nights in the flash sale but just have a couple of queries...

Half board meal plan is £111 for 3 nights, will this really be a saving for myself and daughter (both vegetarian) or would we be better just going with the flow? I read that food is very expensive but would I really spend that much in 3 nights?

Thinking of booking flights separately through easyjet for a £40 saving, but is this fasle economy, will I end up paying more for the transfer?

    Thanks in advance

It is quite expensive for food out there, we went half board for 4 of us and it was definitely worth it. I know that a buffet style evening meal in our hotel was 22.50 euros per adult and 15 euros per child.

Thank you all for your replies!

balletshoes - do the offers tend to be quite consistant? Do they tend to come out in similar times every year with similar offers?

onriebaby - Oh wow, I didn't know that about under 4s travelling free on Eurostar!! Might have to do some re-thinking (and phoning!). Funnily enough, OH and I discussed last night about possibly planning to do it in January AFTER the Xmas theme in the hope it might be even quieter, but I'll have to let him know this piece of information!! lol

savagelyric - I'm new to this thread but I'd say have a look at the dlrp website that the others have mentioned and look at the restaurants you might eat in, and see how much you'd spend on a typical meal (pretend you're pre-ordering!). Then you can get a good guide on whether it's worth the money or not.

On the note of half board - can you add this to your booking closer to the time if you decide to add it. Just thinking that we have no idea what DD's eating will be like around that time, and we might be booking too early to know if it's worth buying a half board option for us all, when buying two adult meals and her sharing ours might be cheaper....oh look at me thinking aloud! lol

I personally don't think the half board plans are moneysaving at all, and they restrict your restaurant choices. For info, table/buffet service set menu meals start at around 20 euros per adult, 10 euros per child. Counter service is cheaper still, around 12 euros per adult and 6 euros per child.

Thinking of booking flights separately through easyjet for a £40 saving, but is this fasle economy, will I end up paying more for the transfer?

I always book my flights separately - are free transfers included in the package you're looking at?

    Thanks in advance

    hope this helps,

Don't pay full price - no-one pays full brochure price to go to DLP ;). Once the flash sale ends (is it tomorrow its over?) there will be another set of offers come out within about a week I'd have thought.

yes, they are similar (with the dates of the offers anyway)

yes, if you do decide to buy half board vouchers, you can add them to your package any time you like, up to a couple of days before you arrive at the resort.

    Thanks balletshoes.

On a seperate note, looking back over older posts, has anyone noticed a trend in which months tend to be the worst for closures of rides/shows/restaurants?

Thank you - knowing that nobody pays full brochure price makes me determined to sit tight. I'm taking the view now that if we can't sort it out in the next 2 weeks, we'll wait until next year :)
