  • After a bit of help.

Looking at booking eurodisney for 3 or 4 nights with park tickets in mid september for 3 adults and 1 child. Would be looking to get eurostar from London to resort. Anyone know of any good deals anywhere?

    Thanks

its too soon for a good deal with Disney, but keep an eye out - one of their flash sales has just finished, so another offer should be coming out within the next week or so which might include your dates.

book eurostar separately, and do it soon (by phone) as the earlier you book, the cheaper it is.
  • Thanks for that. Was looking at the santa fe hotel. Is it really worth upgrading to half/full board? Ive had that many varying quotes im losing track of whats a good deal and what isnt!!

Of course, Expedia, forgot about them. Right, just looked - £264 at the Santa Fe for 2 nights. Seems expensive! The Adagio looks interesting - it seems the cheapest hotel to have a shuttle to the park (saves on driving in and parking!), but the studio room seems a bit weird?! Mostly sofa beds?! Has anyone stayed in an Adagio Studio??

I dreamt about Disney last night....!! lol

we have stayed in a 2 bedroom which was double bed ad bunk beds ( with sofa bed in lounge)
and a 1 bed which was double bedroom and sofa bed in lounge

not stayed in just a studio but the sofa beds are comfy lol and to be honest you are only sleeping & showering there so who cares how much space you have!

the shuttles arent great times though ! they dont start very early in the morning and so we got the train in and back

Wow that is expensive - just looked to see if they automatically included park tickets for that price or something but no, it's just for the room!! It's a completely different season so not a proper comparison, but we are paying £49/night (Mon/Tue/Wed) the last week in March...bit of a difference!

I've seen the Adagio recommended on here quite a lot so it could be a good option. Someone (RachieB?) has stayed there at least a couple of times and I'm sure will be able to give you some more details on the rooms etc.

Oh and I love that you had Disney dreams last night - how fun!!

    :rotfl::o yup tis me
  • I have read a few times now on other DLP forums and Trip Advisor about Wednesdays being busier at the parks because schools in France (or at least around Paris) have Wednesday afternoons off. Not seen it mentioned on here though I don't think so was just wondering what people's thoughts were...does it really make that much difference to crowds, particularly when it's still relatively out of season?

We will be there on a Tuesday & Wednesday (27 & 28 March) and just wondering what to expect? If Wednesday is likely to be more crowded, especially later in the day, then we will try to plan accordingly and get more done on the Tuesday.

We usually always have a Wednesday in our trips to DLP, and I can honestly say I've not noticed any difference at all in the busy-ness of the parks on a Wednesday afternoon at DLP.

I don't think half board is worth it, it saves you practically no money, and it restricts you to where you can eat with the vouchers.
  • One more sleep till the adventure (or rather journey to adventure begins) :D

Staying overnight in Ashford tomorrow, 6AM Eurotunnel on Monday morning, heading straight to the Kyriad and then non-stop DLP until Wednesday afternoon ... the kids can't wait.

Is there an earliest check-in time for the Kyriad (we will probably get there about 10/11AM) ? Do you have to be a checked in hotel guest to use the shuttles to the park ? If we can't check in on arrival we were planning on just leaving the bags in the car and getting on the shuttle bus (and then checking in on Monday night).

Presumably there's no problem doing that right ?

no, theres no earliest check-in for the Kyriad, you can check in when you like, if your room is ready (it may not be until 3pm) you can leave your luggage at the hotel and come back later for the room key. You don't have to be a guest to use any of the free shuttle buses around the DLP resort or the offsite hotels, no-one checks any hotel ID at all.
