  • Hi I am a Single mum to a 7 year old girl and want to take her to DLP for a few days in september. Very flexible with the date as going to take her out of school for 2 days so really need to travel friday to monday. can anyone help with where to stay, train or shuttle, best palce to but tickets for the parks ect. I have been getting quotes for the 3 nights and flights for £800 from glasgow to DSP from travel agents but feel this is very expensive. Any help would be appreciated.

September after the schools go back is low season at DLP, so you shouldn't really be paying much more than £400 total for your hotel and park tickets through DLP at that time of year, for 3 nights/4 days. Avoid a Friday or Saturday check-in though, that pushes the price up. If the official DLP site isn't showing a good discount on September dates yet, don't worry, they will (as I say, its low season, especially if you check in on a weekday).

Check if there are any budget airlines from Glasgow or Edinburgh to CDG - Easyjet? Ryanair? etc etc (you can check this on the airports websites). Could you go further and maybe stay overnight with friends/relatives and fly from another airport? Might not be feasible time-wise though if you only want to take your daughter out of school for 2 days.

Then see how much it is to book direct with the airline.

You will have transfers to sort out between Charles de Gaulle airport and DLP, but for one adult one child that shouldn't cost more than around £65 total return.

Not long to go! 14th of March till our trip. (I refuse to look at the 50% off prices now :( )

Anyway, any advice would be great on making it a smooth experience as my partner is just dreading it :(
He thinks it will be horrendous and is likely to start having panic attacks over it soon :( He's not a very good traveller hence nor am i, but only due to lack of experience!

Few questions about Eurostar. How soon do you normally get sent the tickets if booked thro the disney site?
Also there are 3 of us travelling so does it mean one of us will have to sit on their own? (this will be me lol) as it seems the seats are in rows of 2.
Do you carry your lugguage on with you? how does the disney express thing work? do we need to put tags on with our names and where we are staying?

Sorry for the noob questions but we are not very experienced with travelling and i dont want to get anything wrong!

Very excited as we are going to DLP next Thursday, still haven't told ds1 and ds2, can't wait to see their faces when we do :) Regarding the seating on Eurostar we had a call from the people at DLP when I booked to let us know that the seats were not all together but they did say that Eurostar will always try to seat families together on the day regardless of whats on the tickets.
A quick question, we are staying at hotel NY was wondering if there is a kettle, cups etc in the room?
    thanks

I found out in the thomas cook they dont replenish the drink sachets, but have a kettle, so brought my own sachets

You'll need to phone to get quotes for the suites, they don't do these on line! I've never had quotes for these but from what I've heard very pricey lol! We are going in March as well -can't wait not long now:j
  • We're planning to have a day at Disney on our way back from the South of France, where is the best (cheapest) current place to buy tickets?

    Thanks
