Where do you stay balletshoes? Is there anywhere in particular you would recommend?
Thanks
as close to DLP as possible really, all of the 4 associated hotels are great, very easy to get to and from the parks. I've stayed at the Etap right at the exit to the train station at Val d'Europe, that was also very easy to do to and from the parks. I'm considering the Ibis next door to the Etap this time, and also the L'Elysee val d'europe (close to the train station and they have a free shuttle bus, although its bus running times are a bit rubbish).0 -
off into the travel agents today to pick up our tickets, its getting close now.
Cant wait0 -
Thanks Balletshoes - no its not long now; just under 6 weeks!! I cant wait!!
I remembered another question - do you have to pay to ride on the cars that drive up main street (the fire egines/ police cars etc) and if so, anyone know how much? Thanks0 -

Thanks for this - i've not even looked at the ibis or etap - I was thinking hotel d'eleysse as I can use the train to get there - I like the thought of being able to go to the supermarket and shopping etc... but I was unsure if it was as easy as it sounds?
The 4 associates I'm not sure of as I don't fancy having to get the shuttle buses - we checked them out on previous trips just to see what they were like and have to say I wasn't a fan !
Cheers for your help x0 -

We've stayed at the associate hotels every time we've been and never had an issue with the shuttle. We just make sure we have our breakfast early & then we're one of the first on the shuttle.COMP WINS FOR HUBBY & I SINCE SEPTEMBER:2 £50 DOMINOS VOUCHERS, 13 PAIRS OF FOOTBALL TICKETS, MICROSOFT HOME EDTN, 2 PAIRS OF ALTON TOWERS TICKETS, 1 CASE OF PERCY PIGS, 1 PAIR OF LEATHER LADIES GLOVES, 4 COLLECTION 2000 PRODUCTS, PLAYSTATION 3 WITH FIFA 12, 5* HOTEL STAY IN LONDON, SEASON 6 OF SUPERNATURAL DVD, PERFECT PIZZA VOUCHER0 -

no, theres no charge for any of the Main St Vehicles. They have their own pick-up points at both the bandstand area as you enter the park, and around the hub in front of the Castle. You can get on, as long as there is room, at either point and go one way on the vehicle.

I've stayed at 3 of the 4 associated hotels, and I'd say unless you have a pushchair and very young children, the shuttle buses are fine, even if they get busy. The Explorers hotel is first pick-up and first drop-off of the 4 hotels, so that can work out well.
You can also walk to them, they are situated at the end of the road where the Santa Fe begins. So you could walk to the Santa Fe then up to the filling station there, then its only another 10 minutes maximum walk. So maybe 25 minutes walk total from the Village?0 -
Can anyone tell me how often the shuttle runs from the Adagio apartments to DLP? (We'll be there at the start of June). If it's not very often, would we be better off getting the train?

I'm sure I saw the start and end times of the shuttle on another site, it was around 8.43am start (then at hourly intervals) through to an approx 9.30pm.
The train is very easy though, every 5 minutes or so from 6am or before, until after midnight each day. A carnet of 10 adult train tickets for the journey(either way) is 13 euros and they're not dated. Kids age 4-11 are half price, kids under 4 are free.0
