Morning balletshoes, we're looking at staying 2 or 3 nights only. No we wont be going anywhere else in France, just to there and then back to Blighty. Just need a bit of help/advice on cheapest way to get and stay there as budget is not the best !!!!
maybe think about going in sept+ or June / July before the kids break up

as August is expensive esp if you want to stay onsite

  • Thanks so much for the info about the French holidays, I didn't know that...! However I rally wanted to spend my DD's B'day overthere to avoide throwing a B'day party for her. Trouble is if I book two weeks before is Easter Holidays, so no way I will get cheapr deals and the park will be full too. Plus that is the last week for the 40% off they say...I will do some more research and see Eurostar prices (they said I was having 30% discount with them (??) separetley and see how it works out.
    Thanks
Do you have to go that week? It will be very busy at DLP then, as that week is 2 out of the 3 French zones school holidays, including Greater Paris schools (where DLP is situated). I'm guessing thats why your quote is so expensive, its peak time at DLP.

Definitely try moving your dates a little, pricing up your hotel/park tickets only with the official site, then your travel separately, and unless you're convinced you'll use a table or buffet service meal voucher for every night of your stay, don't book half board. There are other options at DLP, it depends where you'd prefer to eat, and the half board vouchers don't save you any money over just paying for your meal when you are there.
  • Ohhh just checked the schedule for next week & Playhouse Disney Live isn't on the whole time we're there :( Gutted. My little boy would have loved that.

Hi, just wondering if anyone thinks I should book now for end of june or hang off a bit. It's 30% off on their website at the moment but only until end jan. I think they will repeat this offer (or maybe better) but perhaps there will be people who will have a better knowledge than me.

Any replies will be gratefully received :)

    Thanks

ah never mind, he'll love Stitch Live and Animagique, and you can always take him back again once he's got the DLP bug good and proper ;).

end of June is when Spanish schools have started their Summer holidays, so it won't be a cheap time to go to DLP. I agree though, there usually are offers which start not long after one has ended. I usually consider, with DLP bookings, if I'm happy with the price as it is. If so, I pay it, if not, I wait :).

It's the start of our holidays in scotland too, and if I go one week later then it jumps by £400, but thanks for the advice, I didn't realise about the spanish holidays.

  • Hi I just thought I would write and let you know how was my booking. I decided to call DLP instead of booking online as I could not book Eurostar through their website. I was settled with Hotel Cheyenne 3 nights for £532 but upon calling the sales assistant offerd me Sequoia Lodge for £488! I was pleasant surprised as I really wanted Sequoia Lodge (obviously I wanted Disneyland Hotel TBH but it is out of my league at the moment) but I couldn't find such a good deal online (if it is really good deal I don't know, what do you think?)...anyway, as I was prepared to stay at Cheyenne paying more anyway, I was really happy with my booking.
Turned out that they didn't have any Eurostar availability for that period so I had to book separetly with Eurostar which is a bit annoying because one of their offers was 30% discount on transportation...maybe I left for too late as offers run until the 31/01??? Or is it just a trap?? Because the sales assistant would not talk to me about the Eurostar unless I booked and paid hotel first (even though I explained to her that I could not book it through the website in the first place that was why I was calling)...so she put me through someone else to book our time slot for Lunch with the Princesses and promised she would be back with me on the line to book Eurostar but...after that the second assistant could not transfer me back to the first one, so I had to call again and wait about 10 inutes on the line again just to find out from a gentleman this time that Eurostar was not available through them...anyway, I am happy I am in Sequoia Lodge now instead of Cheyenne.
Other thing that I can't understand is that I was told I had to book lunch with the princesses and not dinner as the park is closing early on the days I will be there...but how come the BBWW Show will be at 6:30 and the Princess's Dinner can't be around that time?? I ended up booking the Princess's Lunch for 1pm but I now regret, can I change that time for the latest available? I want to call tomorrow or Monday but I don't want to wait ages on the line again nor waste another phone call.....
    Thanks
  • Hi all

Just wondered if you could answer a quick question.

We are looking to go to Disneyland Paris in March, and did a search on lastminute.com for hotels and found some good deals in some of the DLP hotels. However it does not state whether park tickets are included or not? We thought they would be as they are the park's hotels, but the prices are really good and it doesn't say either way... does anyone have any idea whether it will be or not?

    Thanks!

We are a family of 3 going to celebrate ous daughter 5th b'day on DLP, looking to go by eurostar from London on the 16th April staying 3 nights at the Cheyenne, half board and princess lunch.
All comes to £1249.70 and this includes 40% and under 7s stay and play free. OMG I can't even imagine how much would cost whitout the any promotion....:(
Anyway, I am going to book from their official website, does this price seems alright? Is our firts nice trip since DD was born...
And should I buy insurance? how, when and where?
Disney website wants to charge either £42 or £57 extra for insurance...:(
    Please Help!!!!!!

I paid £18 with a complete excess waiver for my son and I travelling for 5 days in total with Gold cover. Without the excess waiver it was about £15. Kids went free, that was with TravelInsurance.co.uk. HTH
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
