Ok I've got one last question...the hotel discount available for having the dream ticket (35%) will that only be available to me once I've collected the tickets or once I've purchased through this website? I.e. would I be able to use the discount straight away to book my first stay or will I have to collect first? Also, how would you go about booking hotel only booking? Presumably through call centre...
the onsite hotel discount for AP holders is very misleading - its up to 35% off, and its off the rack (full walk-in rate). As an example, the walk-in rate for the Santa Fe hotel, in low season, is over 130 euros per room per night . Often hotel/tickets packages work out cheaper than booking AP room only rate (because packages are discounted through the year, room only isn't).
Usually AP holders stay offsite, possibly in one of the associated hotels, or stay onsite from December to February, when Expedia do onsite room only for the onsite hotels at far more reasonable prices than Disney does.
Or (but this may be complicating things) they book one adult (and any free kids) into an onsite room on a package, then add the others (up to the maximum room occupancy) when they arrive at the hotel. There is no extra charge for the extra guests, other than possibly 2 euros or so per extra person, per night booked, for local taxes (because you already have the room booked, so it doesn't cost anything except local taxes to add guests to the room at check-in).
If you want room only prices, you do have to call Disney (the normal booking line can give you prices and availability).0 -
balletshoes wrote: »the cemultiavantages annual pass offer is a special deal with them, but perfectly legitimate. If your child is at least 3 years old, but under 7 years old when you activate your annual passes (ie go to DLP and get them at the annual pass office) then yes, you get the child's annual pass free.
If your child is under 3 years old, you can't get the free pass for them because they don't need a park ticket or annual pass at all to enter the park, they are free anyway.
Are these actually a legititmate company - definatley ? This seems like the answers to my prayers ! We have umm'd and ahh'd about staying onsite and staying offsite - the disney deals aren't great at the mo but as we are a family of 4 this would suit us perfectly as our boys are only 3 & 4 ! Just worried as never booked anything like this before? My son turns 3 while we are there - do you know how this would affect getting him a pass? Also would you happen to know the date this offer ends?0 -

its definitely a legitimate deal, and cemultiavantages is a huge well-known company in France. I don't know when the offer ends though, as the offer isn't any use to me.
The only problem you're going to have is, as your child won't be able to get a pass for themselves until they have reached their 3rd birthday, you may not be able to get a free pass for him, because presumably you'd be needing your adult annual passes to be activated on your first day in the parks (ie to be able to use them for park access). Have you already booked your travel? Could that be changed to make your first day your son's birthday or just after, rather than just before, so you can use the 2 free annual passes for children?
eta - maybe you could email cemultiavantages and ask them if the free child's pass must be activated on the same date as the adult's, or if there is an expiration for activitating the free child's pass?0 -
Thanks Balletshoes - I think i could tweek the dates - tbh we could go the week earlier and not need and annual pass for him at all - but it would cost us next year ! I'd prefer to be able to go later and then go early july next year !And maybe check it out at christmas ! Just glad to hear they are legit - I phoned my DH in such excitment and he said book it lol
Any recommendations for offsite hotelsapartments then - we'd love an apartment but they seem to only offer single sofa beds which are no good to us as the boys are so young ?0 -
Thanks all for your help! Glad I found this thread before booking!0

Help required! Firstly, what a fantastic thread and I hope someone can help. We are a family of four with 2 children aged 10 and 8 and are planning to take them to DLP in August 2012. I know that this will be a really busy time but our options re A/L are limited. We are looking a combining a mix of DLP with trips into Paris over a period of upto 7 days. Can anyone signpost me to hotel/apartment/ and how to obtain the cheapest tickets. I am planning to drive from Yorkshire.0

Hi All,
The Voyage Prive price is by far the cheapest I have found but the ticket terms say...
"*Please be advised that the tickets do not allow multiple entries throughout the day."
On our previous visit we went between the park and studio on the same day.
Has anyone been to DLP with Voyage Prive? Is this right?
Thanks.0 -
