would you recommend driving outside? I know we did a few years ago but it was so long ago I can't really remember where we went and how much it cost! :/

this is not my area of expertise at all I'm afraid, I don't drive to DLP and we usually stay inside or very close to the Disney bubble :).

The Village isn't cheaper than the parks are, but the earlier poster was talking about driving out to val d'europe to eat, which is much cheaper as its not Disney.

Ah, yes - agree with that.

We ate there last year (when we stayed in an off-site hotel) - very difficult to find in the dark (even with sat nav). Or it was for us :rotfl:

yey congrats on the booking babyfruitella :).
The set menu at Cafe Mickey, per adult, is £30 I believe. But you can order from the a la carte menu and do it a lot cheaper than that ie order a couple of pizzas to share between you, a starter maybe, and some drinks, that would cost way less (probably around 45 euros or so total).

We left it too late to book CM so went lunchtime. Just to warn you, DH and I decided to share a pizza and the waiter looked at us like we were dirt on his shoe! He said 'one pizza...between two of you...' twice before accepting that's what we wanted.

He really wasn't nice about it at all! Needless to say he didn't get a tip!

    Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice on my first visit to Disneyland :)

There will be 2 adults and 3 children (although the eldest is considered an adult as is 13) and we'd like to go in May.

I am thinking that 3 or more days is ideal to try and see most things and from reading chunks of this thread it seems that annual passes may work out better value for us, especially when I add in the free parking (if we got Dream passes). If we were to get these passes then how would we get the free parking on the first day?

I've also seen lots of people mentioning shareholder discounts, the Disneyland Paris website says I could use the shareholder discount and the family discount (for buying 5 passes), does anyone have any experience of doing this? If so how much did this work out as per pass?

Didn't think it would be so complicated but the prices to stay on-site are really high for May at the minute, are these likely to come down at all? The good deals seem to be only for stays until the end of April at the minute. Ideally I'd love to stay at a Disney hotel as it is our first experience.

We will be flying over and possibly renting a car or using the TGV depending on whether we can afford a Disney hotel!

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Ce Multiavantages have a special offer on annual passes. The Dream pass (365 days) is 149 euros instead of 199. (You also have to pay 20 euros to join).

I can't post the link as I'm a newbie, but if you click through from the front page of Ce Multiavantages and select the dream passport, this info is in French, but dropping into google translate it says:
Dream Annual Pass (adult / child)
    * For overseas we advise you to be safe to choose to send by registered mail.

    * The shipment is the responsibility of the recipient.

For children under 7 years free!
1 paying adult = 1 child under 7 years free
Access to two Disney Parks 365 days a year

To qualify for this offer you need to know this information, apply to all Annual Passports.

The draft Annual Pass must be redeemed within a period of 6 months from the date of issue
It is from the first visit that the validity of the Annual Pass begins
Once there, your provisional Annual Pass Annual Pass will be transformed into the final. (the annual passport office is next to the castle in Disneyland Park)
The Annual Pass is a ticket "boilerplate" that is valid in the two Disney Parks
The Interim Annual Passports can not be returned, exchanged or refunded.

Is that right? Children <7 years free with paying adult? The dlrpmagic site says <3 years. Which is right? Anyone know? There's a few places online that suggest this to be the case, but can't find anything no the official website to confirm this...

Please help! I have got myself into a real stress trying to research this break! I am looking at October 2012 for myself, husband and two children ages 5 and 4. Just need the answers to some some sues please, and really appreciate any help! I will just list them for ease...

-I am looking at 4 nights, but due to the amount of travelling ( need 2 flights both ways) we will only be there for 3 full days-is this long enough?

-to book the flights on Disney site even with the 30% off, is way more expensive than doing it direct on Flybe-is this normally the case or am I doing something wrong?

-you get the option to book a dinner at Cafe Mickey whilst on the Disney site-is this a special dinner or are the characters always at Cafe Mickey?

-with two very young children who don't eat that much, is it worth getting a HB package?

    -how much is pushchair hire?

-is the transfer form the airport on the Disney site the best way to get there? Its £116 return for the four of us.

    -any other tips?

Many, many thanks in advance-I often wonder if the stress of researching and booking a holiday is worth it, but I'm sure it will be!! :rotfl:

I don't know the official answer, but I can tell you that after I placed my order I got an email (in French - thank goodness for internet translation!) asking whether we had any children under 7 for whom we wanted free passes:
    Bonjour,
Nous allons traiter votre commande, merci de nous dire combien de passeports gratuits pour les enfants – de 7 ans il vous faut ?

I think so. The longest we've ever been for is 4 nights. We're taking our son for his first trip next week (he's 3) and we fly Wednesday night & come home Saturday lunchtime, so we only have 2 full days there.

-to book the flights on Disney site even with the 30% off, is way more expensive than doing it direct on Flybe-is this normally the case or am I doing something wrong?

Always seems to be more expensive directly through Disney. We've booked directly with Air France for flights that are actually operated by FlyBe, & its cheaper than booking with FlyBe direct!

-you get the option to book a dinner at Cafe Mickey whilst on the Disney site-is this a special dinner or are the characters always at Cafe Mickey?

    The characters are at Cafe Mickey from 7:30am - 9:30am, 12pm to 3pm & 6pm to 8pm. Pre-booking is advised.

-with two very young children who don't eat that much, is it worth getting a HB package?

I've never booked HB, but from what i've read on this thread, the general consensus is that it isn't worth it.

    -how much is pushchair hire?

€8.85, but according to DLRPMagic they're not the most comfortable contraptions. If you want to take it out of the park, you have to pay a refundable deposit also I believe.

-is the transfer form the airport on the Disney site the best way to get there? Its £116 return for the four of us.

Have you looked at the train? I don't think it would cost much more, if at all, to get the train. That's a 10 min transfer.

    -any other tips?

Many, many thanks in advance-I often wonder if the stress of researching and booking a holiday is worth it, but I'm sure it will be!! :rotfl:
