Hi, thanks for the quick reply, there are 4 of us (2 adults and a 4 and 5 year old) will check out that website now.
    Cheers

Have a look at Chaleloupe in Marne la Vallee, it is right next to the A1 (I think that is the right road) and 6kms from DLP, it's just off the roundabout though so no heading into town - we got lost in Marne la Vallee, it is very daunting as there are lot of one way streets and loads of traffic lights. For first time drivers out there it was quite scary!! Wish we had booked in there instead and missed out on all the stress.

We stayed at the Tulip but there was no car park, after driving around for ages it turned out it was under the hotel and cost more to park there. Otherwise, have a look around CDG as it is half an hour drive to DLP then.

Yipee only 12 days to go all getting excited......a few questions

Do i need to phone my hotel cheynne and request no smoking and a buffalo room or do i go through agent.....

    what are blackout days??

    :T

I'd have thought you go through your agent as your booking will be with them and not DLP.

I think all rooms are non-smoking now to be honest, but you could call DLP and check.

if you wait until 3 or 4 days before you go, your reservation and full booking details will be with Disney, and you can phone the hotel to ask for a certain block. All onsite hotel rooms are non-smoking.

you will have your park tickets included in your hotel booking, so you won't be affected by any blackout dates :).
  • thank you.....can anyone tell me a good block for cheynne?? Any tips for our trip my 5 year old is so excited

we were in Doc Holliday, Annie Oakley is also close to the reception and restaurant block. To be honest, I would just phone and ask for a nice room (do you prefer ground or 1st floor?) close to reception. None of the Cheyenne rooms are more than 5 minutes walk from reception though, even the furthest away blocks.

With a 5-year old, make the most of Extra Magic Hours - most of the Fantasyland rides are open from 8am to 10am for hotel guests only, and those are the rides your little one will love (they get busier as the day wears on too, so Dumbo, for example, you might only get to ride in EMH without queueing for ages). Have breakfast early at your hotel (ie 7.15) or ask for a breakfast slot of 9.15 in the park instead (subject to availability, ask when you check in at your hotel). This way you can be at the gates of the main park for 8am and get the open rides at their absolute quietest.

If things are getting busy in the main park, go to the Studios - loads of shows and rides for little ones to do (Animagique, Cinemagique, Stitch Live, Playhouse Disney Live, the Stunt Show, Art of Imagination). Cars ride, flying carpets ride, and Slinky dog are usually not too busy midweek. If you want to do the Parachute Drop ride you should wait until the last hour of the Studios park day, when its not so busy.

Plus of course, the parades in both parks - Once Upon a Dream in the main park, and the Cars n Stars parade in the studios.

Have at least one character meal - I like Cafe Mickey in the evening for dinner (we share pizza there, brings the cost down and the pizzas are huge). If you want to eat at Cafe Mickey, book your preferred time and date in advance - its very popular.

Get your little one an autograph book and chunky pen (you can buy them there) and enjoy!
  • Thank you for all your help........so sorry if sounding dim didn't realise can you eat breakfast in the park if you prefer then? where ccan you have breakfast??

its one designated restaurant per morning, your hotel receptionist will tell you which one it is when you book your breakfast in the park. Its usually the Plaza Gardens, Chalet au Marionette, or Pizzaria Bella Notte :).

    Hello Lovely MSEers
I just booked to go to DLP in December with my 2 year old and OH, booked to stay in Santa Fe and was really happy with the price. Went to book eurostar and :eek::eek::eek: £268, and thats without little one having seat. Do any of you know if they change their prices? Is it worth me hanging on a bit? I am just worried they will get booked up.

Second question any hints/ tips for December? I am guessing it will be cold but on a par with here cold or colder cold!?!?! :rotfl:

    Thanks in advance, very excited!!!

if thats the direct Eurostar, it won't get any cheaper, and will just get more expensive as more seats are sold. There is an indirect Eurostar (you change once at Lille) which should be on sale around 4 months before travel. This will start off cheaper, but again, as seats are sold they will get more expensive.

colder cold than here generally - I have found that when its warm at DLP, its a few degrees warmer than here, when its cold at DLP, its a few degrees colder.

    Thanks in advance, very excited!!!

    hope this helps,

I'm from Scotland where we are almost used to cold but when its cold there, its really cold :)

Very frosty mornings but beautiful, make sure you have thermals for yourselves and I'd recommend ski type suit for the little one and a little hot water bottle if you use a buggy.
