Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

I am very sorry but I think I need to stress these points --
1- I have NOT made any booking. I was asking questions. So I am NOT being dishonest.
2- I have used words such as "if they allow", "if they accept" in my posts meaning I am asking for their permission before going ahead, therefore I am NOT sneaking anyone in.
3- When I said that we would be able to fit 7 in, yes space-wise this is possible. Again, we could do this IF THEY ALLOW. But I also said we would use a camper van or motor home or similar. So that means that if they did NOT allow 7 in the cabin, then the space in the camper van/motor home will be used. This is NOT sneaking in, we also pay extra for having such a vehicle in.
4- I have stated that I am happy to pay for the 7th person separately (accommodation and tickets). This is NOT sneaking the person in if I pay for him/her.
5- I said I am not booking 2 units because the other 3 have NOT committed to go. I think this is quite sensible. And then again, if they decide to go, we've got the motor home.
6- I asked about the checking in and the numbers allowed mainly because IF I book online, I do not know how to go about the motor home thing YET. I do not know how to declare this and the names of the people using the motor home. Therefore, there might be 7 people there checking in and DLP thinking we have NOT booked for 7, when we have the motor home to use aside from the cabin.
I am sorry if people thought I was being dishonest. I thought I made myself clear but this was not the case. I did not think asking questions would lead me to be judged like so.
And I think what I would try to do now, to make things easier, is to make the booking for a holiday before 1 of the kids turn 3. I stated 3 yrs old before because we were planning to go next year (he will be 3 next year). I think things would be a lot easier because even if there were 7 of us, we would not be accused of sneaking anyone in because he would be classed under "infant". I am being not dishonest about the age now, I was only using foresight to plan for next year.
So my sincerest apologies to anyone who felt bad about my posts.0 -
You can't sleep in the camper van at Davy Crockett.
The aire de service for vans is in the main carpark at Disney, so one family would have to stay there, and the other would have to travel back and to to Davy Crockett at night.
There is no booking, basically you stay on tarmac in the car park.
If your youngest was still under three, he wouldn't need a ticket to the park. There are a lot of people on here who have asked, and have been told disney haven't asked for proof the 2 year 11 month old in the push child isn't three yet, or even past three.
I haven't been to the Davy Crockett ranch, but looking at them before they are a double bed, two bunks, and two sofa beds I believe. You can take a cot, so the stretch from a cot to slightly larger cot, or top and tailing, or airbed?
I don't know how the check in works though, a drive through could be difficult.0 -
hersheys, let's forget it. There was not going to be further comment on it from me - I had said all I needed to say earlier. Since someone else had asked before about Butlins I posted something out of this forum. I am allowed to have my own opinion - it is mine, it does not matter if no-one else agrees with it - just my point of view and I went off to speak to other people about it. Unlike others I do not go out to work to discuss stuff elsewhere, I work from home and I look after my disabled child, here is the only place I get to speak to people about stuff like this.
But back to your post. What is it you want to do in regards to your booking? Why DCR? Solely because of the numbers? Have a look at Val d'Apartments, you'll find them on the DLP website under partner hotels and they DO sleep 7. They are self catering too if this is what you want. In fact, there are a lot of self catering places just outside DLP. At least with that option you know you'll know there will not be a problem. If you drive and want to visit DCR then you can.
I am still not sure I get what you are saying though, you are going to book a cabin because you are not sure if the others will come? And if they do they can all just pile in and stay as well and you declare them on the day or something? What happens if they say no. It will not just be the cost of tickets in the booking but they charge extra fees the adults for staying too. Have you done a dummy dooking to see what they are going to charge?
The other thing to bear in mind - I think this is right and ballet will know - if you add extra people on and the offers have finished, you will have to pay full price for those people, so they do not get in at a discounted rate. And daily rates cost a lot of money plus the cost of tickets.

the way the DCR would work, with adding extra people at check-in, would go like this -
you hersheys would have had to book your family in on the package in advance, and make sure you booked a 6-berth cabin. So that would be, this year, 2 adults, one child, and one under-3, yes? Under-3s don't count towards occupancy at the cabin or any other onsite hotel. So you'd have breakfast for 3, and park tickets for 3, included in your booking.
If your friends decided to join you, and there are 2 adults and one child, yes? all 3 can be added to your cabin booking when you all check in, you will be asked to pay local taxes (a couple of euros per new adult per night booked, less for the child). They will probably get breakfast (I know this has been the case at the hotels) but will have no park tickets, so they will have to purchase those separately.
You can only do this before your youngest child reaches the age of 3, as once they do, they count towards occupancy at the cabin, so your friends could not join you in a 6-berth cabin, as it would, in total, be over-occupancy, and Disney policy just doesn't allow that.0 -

It will be our first time to venture into a holiday like this. My kids are severely allergic (life-threatening) among other conditions which I do not have to divulge. This is mainly why I want to have a self-catering unit. I would probably need to cook everything myself for them because I am not confident they would have many choices for food there, that they could safely eat that is. That is our nightmare when we go on flights too. No matter how much we specify their allergies and request for special diet ahead of time, we are still given food which contain allergens. DCR would allow us magic hours so that is an added bonus.
I have not made a booking yet and my intention is to wait till the other group confirms whether they are coming with us or not. If they say no, we can just go ahead as a group of 4 and would probably still use DCR. If they say yes, then we will declare them on the booking (whichever hotel/unit we end up with). Or we will book 1 unit for us/them and use the motor home which does not need a booking (thanks, mikey).
I do not know much about DLP and how things work there so pardon me if my plans are patchy. We are really at the early stages of planning. And we are in no rush to go. Maybe this year or next year? I might even just chicken out and not go, for fear of what could go wrong (medically). The other group have said they are okay to go on their own if things do not work out, so it is not a must that we go together. They just have not received permission from their employers regarding the possible dates. But it would be nice to have the kids mingle.0 -

how many people do you need a room for? there is loads of choice all around Disneyland Paris - have a look on travelrepublic (put in Disneyland Paris as the area). If there are 2 or 3 of you, the Ibis, Etap and Premier Classe chains all have hotels close by too.0 -
Hi, thanks for the quick reply, there are 4 of us (2 adults and a 4 and 5 year old) will check out that website now.
