Hi, we are staying at DLP in the Newport Bay from Sunday 3rd July for 2 nights. We are going for my husbands 40th but its a surprise at the moment. Has anyone contacted the hotel before to see if theres any chance of a room upgrade or something or should we ask when we get there? Anyone had any luck with such requests before?
    Thanks

nothing wrong with phoning the hotel a few days before you go to ask for a nice room because you're celebrating your husbands 40th birthday - they might surprise him with a free upgrade or little surprises in your room. Nothings guaranteed though, but its worth a try.

    Hello Lovely MSEers
I just booked to go to DLP in December with my 2 year old and OH, booked to stay in Santa Fe and was really happy with the price. Went to book eurostar and :eek::eek::eek: £268, and thats without little one having seat. Do any of you know if they change their prices? Is it worth me hanging on a bit? I am just worried they will get booked up.

Second question any hints/ tips for December? I am guessing it will be cold but on a par with here cold or colder cold!?!?! :rotfl:

    Thanks in advance, very excited!!!

Have a look at flying or driving. We drove this time as the train was around £600 and there was no way I was paying that.

We quite enojyed having our car there, we never went anywhere with it but we could have if we wanted. :rotfl: Too busy 'Disneying'.

PS. Breakfast. Get there EARLY. That is 7am - there will be a queue already. Set your alarm, get your table first, take some coats to save a seat and then get your breakfast a few minutes later. We got there at 7.40 the first morning and it was heaving and there was nowhere to sit.

    Thanks everyone :)
I'd recommend ski type suit for the little one and a little hot water bottle if you use a buggy.

Not sure what to do about the buggy either, the hire ones in DLP dont look that great but dont really want to lug one from here. Any thoughts/experiences?
Debt at LBM [strike]£17,544[/strike] £5700

The little ones do tire easily, there is a lot of walking there. The DLP ones are quite bulky and if it rains, have no raincovers, so bear this in mind you will have to buy a poncho. They are quite bulky. I always take mine (larger disability fold up type) and it's never been an issue, even on the train.

for a 2-year old, definitely take your own buggy - the DLP hire ones don't recline and you can't take them between parks/to your hotel etc at the end of the day when little one is tired without paying 150 euros deposit!

For the cost of 2 days hire of a DLP buggy you could buy a umbrella-fold stroller with a recline position here - even if you only use it for DLP, it would be worth it as an investment, if you don't already have one, or can't borrow one for your trip. I bought one last year to keep at my home for my 2-year old niece - got a Mothercare Jive one for £5 on ebay, had previously only been used once on a fortnight's holiday :).

Hi prices on eurostar NEVER go down they will only ever go up :(

We went in December and there weather is pretty much the same as ours but a few degrees warmer (3 or 4 degrees) so Id pack what you would usually wear at home if your out all day. Make sure you pack thick socks and gloves though as its usually the hands and feet that feel the cold when your outside ALL DAY as there is a lot of queing. We found it warmer there though than what it was when we got back walking around the town shopping it just feels colder cos your stood still more in DLP in ques etc

Weve hired one of their strollers and they look weird. Theyre more for older children as the seats dont recline. Also no shopping basket but a hook on the back to hang a bag. You cant take them to the hotel. Also you cant take them from one park to the other without paying a huge deposit think it was 70-100 euros they asked us for. BUT when you get to the other park if you show them your hire receipt theyll give you a buggy there. We take our own as its a lot of walking and it reclines for when dd has a nap. It was 8 euros a day to hire it last year x

150 deposit? Who in their right mind would nick one of those things - they are hideous!! Could you even get it in the boot of a car? And you'd be wanting to push it down the high street..... er, no thanks!!!

Is this a good deal for a 3 day for the price of 2 ticket at Disneyland Paris.

It is in the french part of the disneyland paris.com website £80 cheaper than the uk disneyland site

    French Site https://www.booktickets.disneylandparis.com/tnsa6/live/shop/1/MAINFRCD/pluto/product_detail.php?vld=1&product_id=6688&tduid=ed802c3e79b890feae3d57873ecfe88e&affId=1267925

    UK site https://www.booktickets.disneylandparis.com/tnsa6/live/shop/A/MAINGBCD/pluto/product_detail.php?vld=1&product_id=6785&tduid=ed802c3e79b890feae3d57873ecfe88e&affId=1267925

If you open it up in google chrome it gives a french translation

I am there 3-5 sept so only need 3 day pass

2 adults 2 children comes to under £415 with current exchange rate on disneylandparis french site, the same ticket on disneyland uk site £498

can get 4 for 3 days at 365tickets for approx £452 but uk booking but only need 3 days

just worried the disneylandparis ones on the french part of the site are for french residents only, has anyone booked tickets via my link before? or confirm they are ok to buy. Thanks
