yes, book in advance (at least a couple of days before you want to eat there if you have a preferred time in mind) - its very popular. You don't have to pay in advance for any of your planned meals, you can just reserve a table.0

From what I've been told you need to call and book for Cafe Mickey to make sure you do get in at a time thats reasonable! Lots of people who have been before all said to pre-book and I am glad I did as there were a lot of times/dates unavailable that i wanted although by shifting the days to visit restaurants we got what we wanted. I wanted early times for evening dinner as mine would never wait to gone 6 for evening meal LOL I called about a week ago to book so was about 3/4 weeks before we go
They are very helpful on the phoneWife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

On the dlrpmagic site you can see all costs/foods from each restaurant so you'll be able to see how much a meal would cost. I did costings based on the menus on the site and worked out how much the dining plan would cost and how much an actual meal would cost in the restaurant for us the dining plan wasn't saving anythingWife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

For light sandwiches/snacks apparently the new Earl of Sandwich restaurant is great value at €5.50 for adults €3.50 for children and they have every kind of sandwich (never been just noted it for good value)Wife to a great husband and mum to 4 fantastic kids 9,8,4,3 they drive me mad but I would do anything and give everything for my family :grinheart

Wow! What a thread!
Just a quick one. We're taking our near 3yo daughter to DLP in October. We've decided to take the Ferry for a couple of reasons, she'll enjoy the experience more than a train and also, it'll give me the driver a chance to chill for a couple of hours.
Are there any discount ferry booking websites you people can recommend? I've had a look around and the best deal I can get for the dates we need is approx. £90 return. Any hints and tips would be gratefully received.
We've decided against staying in a Disney hotel and have booked a local B&B nearby the park (approx. 20 mins drive). We're staying on a farm which we thought would be nice for our daughter to experience. We've got a 2 bedroom apartment for £80 a night. We stayed there a few years ago and loved it.
I'm sure you've been asked the ferry question multiple times, but I'd be really grateful if anyone had any details.

HI Guys - well I went onto Dlp ultimate foodguide - and have made a book of all the menu's restaurants and picked the ones we like and am about to book the ones we need to and am making a list of the ones I need to book on arrival - now im wondering -
- when we go into a buffet restaurant and ask for two adults will they not look at the boys in their buggies and think why are we not maying for them - or do they just not charge for babies? ( are the boys allowed to pick at our plates? ) and
- if we go to a sit down restaurant are we able to order what ever we want and just again let the boys pick? (we'll be feeding them throughout the day cos they're grazers rather than one big meal)
- Im worrying about the buggies too - how do people handle their buggies in the restaurants ? Do they have childseats or feed kids in buggy?
Everywhere says children 3-12 etc and a price but no mention of children under 3 are they just not counted and able to eat away?
Many thanks everyone0 -

at buffet restaurants children aged under 3 are free - so they can have their own plates of whatever they want and you won't be charged for them.

if you order a meal for the children, you will have to pay for it. But there is no problem ordering for you 2 adults and asking for 2 extra plates so you can share with your children.

usually buggies are kept out of the main seating area in restaurants (at Cafe Mickey for example they are lined up inside near the entrance/exit) and you get high chairs for your children.

Thanks Balletshoes - you're quick ! lol
Thats what I was hoping - my boys would share a kids a meal and still prob not finish it ! WE'll order for ourselves and just order something for them to pick at and that is fine ! Im delighted with that. My wee boy has just turned 3 but looks like his brothers twin - do they ask for proof of age ( sorry if stupid question)0
