Has anyone been in Easter before?
I'm looking to go on the 27th and 28th April using a 2 day 2 park hopper.
Will it be mega busy and do you think we will be able to do both parks in 2 days?Cashback

I have an adult sister with a learning disability and early onset dementia. Her condition has deteriorated this year and sadly I, my brothers and other sister now feel that it's time to do all the things we've ever wanted to do with her before it's too late. She is a real Disney princess and I want to take her to DLP for a few days, just the 2 of us.
My other sister took her there along with her family quite a few years ago and has told me not to book a package but to try to book accommodation only and get disabled and "helper goes free" tickets when we arrive. I'm reading in this thread that that may actually cost more! I'm assuming this is because of the heavily discounted park tickets that are included in the package?
I have tried talking to the Disney booking line but the person I spoke to hadn't a clue. She said that we couldn't book that way unless we booked a room each. Even if money was no object that wouldn't be safe for my sister. I've also e-mailed them through their Special Needs section on the contacts page but haven't had a reply. I get the impression from reading this thread that there's not a lot some of you guys don't know about DLP so here's hoping you can advise me.
Many thanks. :A
I don't know who told you that, but someone who did obviously did not get a special offer. If you was booking at 'normal' price then I would agree with this, but they have some good offers on at the moment and you cannot beat them.
We are shareholders and so get discount on the accomodation and tickets, plus we are travelling with a disabled child - we could not get cheaper than the package that was available on special offer from Disneyland Paris themselves - even with all our discounts.
The only way I would advise you to get the discounted tickets is if you choose to stay OUTSIDE the parks, only then will the tickets be cheaper. The hotels cost quite a lot - if you go onto Expedia then you can see the price of hotels without any tickets added then go onto the Disney website and see how much they charge you for a package.
Hope that helps and I hope that your sister has a wonderful time.0 -
Hi
Can anyone advise cheapest place/website to buy park tickets - we intend to go there for 2 days but not consecutive days so what is the best way to do it?

Yes we went at Easter :easter_ba last year. The park wasnt too busy. But there wasnt really anything special and some of the shows were cut. When I asked why there wasnt anything special for easter the staff member was a bit grumpy saying well it is a holiday for us!!!
It may have been us but we didnt enjoy it as much as previous visits - we liked Feb halfterm better, we were lucky with the weather and you get some good deals.

Can you remember what the cheapest way of doing it was?
Flights from EMA seem to be £70 each
Hotel is about £190 for 2 people
and then park tickets are £112 each.
Not including food or travel from CDG to just outside disney and back etcCashback

how many nights in the hotel are you intending staying? one or 2, and do you have a specific hotel in mind, or would any hotel in the vicinity of DLP do?0 -

Any hotel in the vicinity will be fine as long as we can easily get to the park without a car and without getting ripped off with a taxi.
I did find Hotel ibis Marne La Vall!e Val d'Europe for a total of around £170.
Obviously the cheaper the better
