    Re: Disney Express.

If you book a package (train and hotel) the Disney rep scomes around to you on the train and you get your tickets. You leave your cases upstairs.

If you book the train seperately, it MAY be possible to book the Disney Express. it was £16 per adult, kids free, you MAY be able to book this by calling Disneland Paris (UK number). However, you collect your tickets at the Disney Express counter upstairs NOT on the train.

I have done both - was a bit confused why Disney reps did not speak to us the 2nd time around when we booked ourselves.

However, on our last trip they would not let us book the Disney Express because we had not booked a package, even though we was on the Direct train. It was a flat no whenever I called.

My opinion though - it's a waste of money.... when you get of fthe train the queue for the Disney Express is long. The queue to check into your hotel when the park closes will be long. Get off the train, take your cases to the hotel on the shuttle (it will be empty this time of day) and check in. All done. IF your room is not ready (it will be) put your cases into the left luggage area and collect them later. Go to the parks and enjoy the rest of the day. There will be no queues at check in, or the Disney Express, if you do it this way.

On your last day you can use the Disney Express to take your cases back to the station and it costs (last time we went, HNY) 4 Euros per bag and you book it at the hotel when you need it. MUCH cheaper and easier to do it this way!!

hiya can you leave ur suitcases at left luggage when departing aswell or is the disney express the only way? also if i end up booking the package rather than the 2 seperatly do you have to use the express lugglage or can we still keep them with us and check in straight away?

    Hello everyone

I'm looking to book up Eurodisney from 11/April/2011 for 3 nights for me, my partner and 2 teenagers (14 and 16, so technically adults)

We'd like to go by Eurostar, and stay on the park so we dont need a car, what good deals are about at the moment? Prices we've seen so far range from £900 to over £1500?!

    Thanks in advance :)

That's interesting. Thanks Blue-monkey. I had been wondering what happened with the bags on the train. So they stay with you until you get to Disney and then you stand in line for ages to check them in at the Disney express desk? Hmmm, I had thought it would be best to head straight for the park gates and try and catch the end of the "good morning disney" thing but maybe hotel first will be wise.

What about pushchairs on the train? I presume we just have to fold it up and put it with our bag while we travel? Cheers all.

Yes, you can just leave your cases in left luggae - but if getting off the train I am sure the room will be ready. They charge for the Disney Express - which I would use on the wya home, it is just much easier than lugging cases around for the day. This service is ONLY available from Disney Hotels though - just to clarify really. Not to Partner Hotels.

I, personally, would NOT book a package as it will cost you around £500 more - once you add the train on the price will rocket. Book the hotel with Disneylandparis.co.uk and the Eurostar on the Eurostar website. You will be getting the exact same package but without the Disney Express for much more.

But no, you do not have to use the Disney Express, just tell them and you can go off and check in instead. It is much easier.

Yes, buggys have to be folded, cases go in the racks. Honestly, it is a nightmare as it is so packed. If you have not chosen your seats on the train, and are able to do so, choose a space near the Leisure Select area (seats will be spread out more on those carriages) as your cases can go in there - because getting the bags onto the train is just horrendous. When we went from Ashford they literally had 5 minutes to get everyone on and chucked our bags and buggy on. I am surprised they did not chuck the kids on too!!

But yes, bags stay with you on the train, you get them off, go up 2 levels and the Disney Express counter is on the top level. if you have a buggy you'll have to get the lift which is a pain unless you take it on the escalator (always dodgy with cases too). Send your partner on with the cases and get her/him in the queue for the Express, we queued for 3/4 an hour when we used it.

We have done both DE and Hotel first and now we'll check in first every time because everyone else is at the parks and it is so quiet you are done in a few minutes - and we went when it was mega busy, a Saturday at Xmas!

DLP should not be too expensive tbh, it depends on what hotel you want to stay in, however, I think you'll be pushing it to get the train this late and in the Easter holidays. Have you looked on the Eurostar website for the availablity? I would start there and see if you can get there first, then find out the cost of the hotel.

Not much help really but always start by seeing if the train is available, otherwise you need to find another way to get there.

Hi Disneyites, I wonder if you can help

I have searched the thread without success but I can't find what I need. Does anyone have the number to call to add meal plan plus to our booking?

Also, we're going next week, Wednesday to Friday, Thursday being St. Paddy's day, do you thinl we'll need to make reservations for dinner?

the booking line number (to add half board to your booking) is 08448 008111.

I'll be there next week too - we arrive on Thursday, and I'm booking my meals on the phone this week :). I'd imagine there will be lots of folk heading off for dinner after 8.30 on Thursday, after the fireworks.

Thanks Balletshoes, I'm going to book tomorrow too.

Are the fireworks defo on this year? I read on another forum (can't remember which) that they may not be having them this time.

Can't wait. My DD hasn't got a clue, bless her, she's going to be so excited. I'm hoping to get away with not telling her until we get to Ebbsfleet :D

Thankyou Blue monkey. Getting down to the nittygritty of it all now with just a few days to go. Think we might just drop the bag off at the hotel after all. At least they'll bring us the tickets on the train.

Sounds horrendous, but not really surprising. I have planned to take just one large hard plastic suitcase for all four of us, plus the pushchair and a nice big changing bag with all our "hand luggage" type stuff. Hopefully OH can take care of the suitcase/pushchair while I cling tightly to the little poppets in the rush.

Our tickets already have the seat numbers on them, so I think we're stuck with them. Are all the seats in standard forward facing? Only booked 3 seats since almost 2 year old will be more than happy to travel the whole way sat on my lap, she would do that 24/7 if she could get away with it the cuddly little monkey! I had imagined being sat around a table, but doesn't look like that is the case, couldn't really fathom the seat map. :)
