  • Can't wait. My DD hasn't got a clue, bless her, she's going to be so excited. I'm hoping to get away with not telling her until we get to Ebbsfleet :D

Wow, that must be so exciting, knowing she is clueless as to what is in store! Our 3yo has known all along, but I wish I had that moment when we told her. Would have been nice, maybe next time!:)

Does anyone know how it will be turning up on 13th June, which is one of the French Public Holidays - will the RER from Paris to Marne la Vallee be okay?
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Thankyou Blue monkey. Getting down to the nittygritty of it all now with just a few days to go. Think we might just drop the bag off at the hotel after all. At least they'll bring us the tickets on the train.

Sounds horrendous, but not really surprising. I have planned to take just one large hard plastic suitcase for all four of us, plus the pushchair and a nice big changing bag with all our "hand luggage" type stuff. Hopefully OH can take care of the suitcase/pushchair while I cling tightly to the little poppets in the rush.

Our tickets already have the seat numbers on them, so I think we're stuck with them. Are all the seats in standard forward facing? Only booked 3 seats since almost 2 year old will be more than happy to travel the whole way sat on my lap, she would do that 24/7 if she could get away with it the cuddly little monkey! I had imagined being sat around a table, but doesn't look like that is the case, couldn't really fathom the seat map. :)

Hi - I think 2 people mentioned this last night (it was late and I was woring in between) so I wanted to re-iterate. You only get your tickets on the train if you have booked the complete package with either a tour operator or Disneyland Paris.

If you booked the train and hotel seperately, you collect your tickets when you check in.

However yes, using the Disney Express is optional even if you have it on the package.

Hope that makes sense, although it is early and I am still working!

French Bank Holidays are always busy so be aware of this, they use them to have a long weekend there. I cannot tell you about the train but the parks are very, very crammed. Sorry.

We did book a package so Disney Express is included. We went into Thompson in Sept for a bit of a look at what was on offer and came out all booked up. Unusually impulsive for us, but I guess they're professionals when it comes to turning someone browsing into a paid up deposit!
Immediately regretted booking the Eurostar through Disney and then after I got home I realised if I had booked online I could have used Quidco too! Doh! Never mind, it was still a good deal, and it would have been much more expensive now. I think we might take advantage of DisneyExpress on the way home for looking after the case, but go straight to the hotel on arrival as you suggest blue-monkey. Ta!:)
  • hi, heading to campsite on Berny-Riviere (approx 1.5 hours from eurodisney) on 21st June. Want to take kids (13, 12 & 5) to Eurodisney for a couple of days. Any recommendations - should I get a 2 day hopper pass or 2 single day passes. Should I stay in hotel near Eurodisney (2 adults, 3 children) or drive there from campsite on separate days? Do two day passes have to be used on consecutive days? Is parking free at eurodisney? Sorry for all the questions.
    Thanks

Thanks Balletshoes, I'm going to book tomorrow too.

Are the fireworks defo on this year? I read on another forum (can't remember which) that they may not be having them this time.

Can't wait. My DD hasn't got a clue, bless her, she's going to be so excited. I'm hoping to get away with not telling her until we get to Ebbsfleet :D

Oooh fabulous, a surprise visit :D - I did that for my DD once, it was a priceless moment!

I think the only reason the fireworks for St Patricks Day was in doubt was because of the tarpaulin going up over the castle - but they've just successfully done fireworks this past weekend for St Davids day, so I think the fireworks will still be on - I hope so anyway, it will be my first trip including Disney fireworks!

We've booked the Disney Express service but I think we may only partly use it. May give them our cases, but then go and check in and go to our room. We're going to have extra bags with the little ones with us and money on us and we don't want to wander around with it all with us. Would it cause us problems if we did this?

Has anyone got any tips on how to tell a little one that they're going to Disney? Our little girl thinks that we're going to a caravan in Norfolk and is clueless (although I'm not sure how considering the time I'm taking to plan this). We're not actually planning on telling her until the morning that we get on the train. I'm bad enough with the excitement, I think together, we'd drive my husband mad!

As I understand it, the longest queue is to hand over your luggage when you arrive at the Disney Express desk at the train station at DLP - so I'd just take my own luggage with me if I were intending going to the hotel before heading to the parks. If it takes 45 minutes to queue and hand over your luggage at the station, you'd be at your hotel, checked in, probably have your room key, and be back at the park gates in that time.
