  • think shares are down to 8.30

They were when I first logged on, but by the time I had called disney to ask if I could do it within a week, then OH to say "are you sure this is worth it" they'd gone back up to 8.87euro. Never mind! All brought now. Just have to fill the forms in and get the confirmation of ownership....

Hi, I've just bought five shares this morning. I was wondering how to pay the 30 Euros though. I wanted to pay by cheque, but my cheque book is in pounds- would I convert 30 Euros into pounds? Or I noticed you can pay by card, but do I just phone them up and pay over the phone? Thanks

Well "just 4 and half sleeps" to our trip. Kids are getting very excited now.

The OH won out in the "do we stay overnight" discussion and we are now staying over in a hotel about 5 miles away. Not going back in the park the next day - but at least it means we can stay in the park until kicking out time. The OH checked the events time table and if we had gone for coming home the same day we would definitely have missed the paraded - whiched DD would have been really upset about.

    Thanks for all the help/suggestions.

yes, you can just phone them and pay by debit card :).
  • Woohoo! I had it all sorted by 12o'clock and I now have the proof that I am a fully paid up member of the shareholders club!

Brought my 5 shares first thing (cost about £55 inc fee).
    Printed the contract note.
Filled in the online application, printed and signed it.
Scanned both the application form and contract note to PDF.
Emailed the PDF's to their office. (they seem to be a bit hung up on faxes really, but I didn't want to unpack the old fax and plug it in).

Then... phoned the lovely people at Disneyland on 00 800 64 74 56 30 (which it says is toll free), to check whether the documents were ok in that form. They weren't able to open them for some reason so I resent them direct to the nice man on the phone, who then checked them, took the 30euro from my credit card over the phone and really kindly emailed me back my temporary membership (he said they don't normally do this) all whilst I was on the phone. People are so nice when you use some manners!

Hurrah! Thankyou blue_monkey, balletshoes and dtaylor for your help.:T

and I've just printed the parade programme for Sunday, so I can see exactly what we can cram in on our arrival before things change on Monday. Not excited at all ;)......5 sleeps!!!

  • Can anyone help?????????

Off to Disney his weekend (yippee) for our first visit and have booked the Euro star (direct service) and hotel separately (Sequoia Lodge). A couple of quick questions if I may -

Aware of the service where your cases are taken to your hotel - can I book this separately and is it worth it?

If I book the above, do I have to still go to the hotel to collect the park tickets?

Guessing you don't have to take photos for the park passes?

Would you recommend booking our evening meal now (going on the half board plus option ) - any recommendations, not fussy eaters, our little boy is 3 years old.

Thank you all in advance for any help - you are all stars

if you have Disney Express, you get your park tickets on the train, so no, you don't have to go to your hotel when you arrive.

no, they are not photo ID park tickets at DLP

Definitely Cafe Mickey, and definitely book your meals, especially for your weekend days.

Hope this helps, and enjoy your trip :)

    Re: Disney Express.

If you book a package (train and hotel) the Disney rep scomes around to you on the train and you get your tickets. You leave your cases upstairs.

If you book the train seperately, it MAY be possible to book the Disney Express. it was £16 per adult, kids free, you MAY be able to book this by calling Disneland Paris (UK number). However, you collect your tickets at the Disney Express counter upstairs NOT on the train.

I have done both - was a bit confused why Disney reps did not speak to us the 2nd time around when we booked ourselves.

However, on our last trip they would not let us book the Disney Express because we had not booked a package, even though we was on the Direct train. It was a flat no whenever I called.

My opinion though - it's a waste of money.... when you get of fthe train the queue for the Disney Express is long. The queue to check into your hotel when the park closes will be long. Get off the train, take your cases to the hotel on the shuttle (it will be empty this time of day) and check in. All done. IF your room is not ready (it will be) put your cases into the left luggage area and collect them later. Go to the parks and enjoy the rest of the day. There will be no queues at check in, or the Disney Express, if you do it this way.

On your last day you can use the Disney Express to take your cases back to the station and it costs (last time we went, HNY) 4 Euros per bag and you book it at the hotel when you need it. MUCH cheaper and easier to do it this way!!
