I'm not sure you'll get anywhere for very cheap at that time, because of the French holiday that weekend. The associated hotels are near the Disney onsite ones, have free shuttles to take you to the train station, and can be booked an many sites apart from Disney. They all take 4 guests as standard in one room.
The associated hotels are the Kyriad, Explorers, Magic Circus, and Dream Castle hotels.
If you search for Val d'Europe hotels or Bussy St Georges hotels, those areas are well served by the trains to and from Paris also.

I am looking to price disney tickets. On tripadviser they mention booking them oin the french sites as they are cheaper,eg francilian, but I notice the dates are only up to April and we go a few months later.I have also seen ticket offers seem only to go up to April.

Does anyone know when the after- April tickets are released, and how do the prices change?

You only need to book Francilien tickets the day before you travel as you print them off at home. No one can estimate a price change or how much it will be

  • Hello everyone. Hope you are all well.
    :)

I have spent the last 3 / 4 days looking into getting the best value package to Disney Land Paris but its proving VERY VERY stressful!!! ahh. HELP!!

It will be our family's 1st major holiday!!!! And really hoping I can get some top tips from you all!! :)

We are 2 Adults and 3 Children (1yr, 2yr and 4 yr) and thinking about 2 to 3 nights stay around April 2011 with two days at the Disney and maybe a extra day in the hotel just to recover and do some shopping / chill out in Paris...

I am happy to avoid booking in the holiday periods, and even go during the Week (Thursday to Saturday?) to avoid any rush and also save some money if I possibly can..

I am thinking about hiring a MPV and taking a ferry and ideally staying at one of the hotels at Disney Land to reduce the stress of moving around but if their is a decent enough hotel and close enough to the Disney Park then can consider that also (Travel Lodge type or something a little better?)

So, what would be the ideal way of doing this? Can I just book a whole package that takes care of everything? Or is their a better way of doing this. And which hotel would be 'best value' at Disney Land ? or should I just look at one of the other hotels which are close to the Park?

I think the Disney Land MAIN Hotel is far too expensive so something cheaper but not 'cheap and nasty' ...

I have tried the Disney Land Paris website, but for the last few days its just been really crap and not working, it wont return any searches to show prices etc...very annoying. I have also searched the Thomas Cook websites and its not very easy to navigate and no clear instructions about the whole thing...very stressful experince soo far....

Can you help? Give me some pointers? Many thanks in advance.

Thanks Balletshoes. Followed your advice and looked at Bussy St Georges - booked Premiere Classe for 1 night 60Eur for all 4 of us with free parking. Much appreciated - hope you enjoy your trip.

usually the best way to get the most value for your money for a trip to DLP is to plan and book well in advance. I'll be honest, for a trip next month (April 2011 as you said?) you're unlikely to get anything at its best price. French and European schools, as well as UK schools, have holidays in April starting around 9th and going right the way through to the end of the month. So the quietest week to go to DLP is likely to be the very first week of April, midweek.

I've just done a quick costing on the official DLP site for you for 1st week of April, there are no special offers showing and its coming in at over £550 for 2 nights and 3 days, thats just for a 2 star onsite hotel room and park tickets for your family.

Maybe lastminute.com might have something to suit?

If you're sure you only want 2 days in the parks, you could look for 2 sets of adult and one set of child park hopper tickets, then look for a hotel nearby, there are loads, plus the associated hotels I mentioned in my post to Debjar. You can book these yourself independently. You don't need park tickets for your 2 youngest children, and they won't count towards hotel room occupancy.

We stayed in the travel lodge at ashford the night before and got an early chunnel over. Put DS in the car still asleep at 6 in PJ's he woke when we were just getting on train and we changed him there. we also took bagels ect for brekkie on the chunnel.

On our way back we did the same but got a late chunnel and put him into his jammies in the car he was asleep before we reached folkstone and we just carried him into the hotel asleep.

Don't forget the travel lodge hotel sale starts tomorrow at 6am £10!!

As for hiring a mpv we tried this and they won't allow you to take them over to france. We tried 4 big companies and they all said the same.

  • hi,
thanks soo much for your valuable suggestions!!

I am still considering all options.

what is the better hotel to stay in?

has anybody stayed in the Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch ? I like it because it includes a kitchen and its in a Forrest type of area so can go for nice walks with the kids? What do you guys think - this compared to the other hotels?
