Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

As far as I know the Sun deal has finished.
In our case, it got us "return ferry crossing and entrance to (both) parks for 1 day" for 2 adults and 2 kids for £17.50 inc.0 -

I know there are sometimes offers on disney tickets with French rail or ferries.
Does anyone know of other offers before I book for Disney tickets?
We would consider 1 night in disney accommodation for the parents and child in the party,if there were any benefits
I don't know of any offers for ferries at the moment, there was last summer with the tunnel. The best offers I have found for Disney hotels is through the Disneyland Paris site itself. It also depends how flexible you can be on dates.
Depending on how many nights you are planning, did you know that you can overnight at Disney itself? It's not an official campsite, and they don't promote it as such, just an area of the car park where you can stay, and have access to the coach drivers facilities (toilets, showers), and there is a tap (no hook-ups). This costs 20 Euro for overnight (this would include your days parking too, or if you buy an annual pass (not the most basic, but Fantasy which costs 139 Euro - there are exclusion dates so check these first) this allows you to park for free and overnight as many times as you want. The pass holder has free entry to the parks, and can buy other tickets at a discount. Disney is next to the station, and has good access into Paris, if you wanted to stay a couple of nights.Be the change you want to see :j0 -
Thanks for that.
Trying to convince the other half that we should go via the tunnel rather than the ferry in the Sun offer [ £15 worth of Tesco vouchers covers the return Tunnel crossing and the last train back is hours after the ferry as well giving us plenty of time at the park].
We're only 1.5 hours away from from the Tunnel so it shouldn't be too bad - but still tempted to book a hotel for when we come back. If I had my way we'd stay off-resort on the Friday night and go back in the park the next day (considering the saving we made on the offer) but the OH isn't keen.
Re the drive from Calais to DLP ... is it worth taking the toll road ? In terms of distance and/or time ?
Hi, just got back from DLP - travelling with OH, DS 8 and DD 6.
Horrible rainy day yesterday, so left earlier than anticipated and decided to avoid toll road as time in hand.
Big mistake, mostly nice empty roads, but travelled through every single town, forever stopping at traffic lights or roundabouts - absolutely killed MPH fuel consumption. Completely dependant on Sat Nav, map and watching out for signs, so impossible for co driver (me) to catch a nap - by the time we got back to UK and my turn to drive, we were both completely shattered. (Awful hold up (grid locked chaos) at Channel Tunnel check in Calais only made situation worse). Thank goodness kids dealt with it so well, hardly a moan or a complaint - could have been ten times worse.
We had a good time at DLP, but shell shocked as to how incredibly expensive eating was (2nd visit, so had prepared ourselves for spending a lot of money). What with prices and rough trip home think we'll be sticking to UK theme parks for the forseeable future.
Would definately recommend using the toll road, don't get to see much of France, but almost stress free travel.
Thanks for all the contributions on here - have been getting the updates for a month or so and information always invaluable, much appreciated.
Best wishes
Radders
PS Loads of speed cameras on the toll free route too - we don't drive fast but OH reckons we'd have been caught out time and again if it wasn't for the alarm on the Sat Nav.0 -

Try this http://www.billetfrancilien.com/
You can print tickets at home all you need is a french address (the place where you are staying in France will suffice)
It is in French but pretty negotiable by anyone
At the moment one park one day ticket is €30 and a 2 park one day ticket is €40

Am I reading that site correctly ... 1 child can get a 1 day / 2 Park ticket (during the weekend) for nothing if accompanied by an adult paying 50Euro ?
And if tickets are emailed out (as it seems) what's the point of the French postal address ?0 -
WE are going by ferry crossing on the 22nd june.......are there any special offers for the passes (we are not staying in Disney)...also wondered what this sun deal is that everyone's talking about, and is it finished now ?
Do you collect tesco clubcard points ?
if so you can get tickets using deals :

You cannot use the site unless you give them a French address, hence using the address of the hotel you are using in France if you don't live there
€50 = £42.00 which is a saving on the usual price for a 1 day ticket and yes, children under 12 go free at the moment (would normally cost £48 from Attraction tickets)

Ah, makes sense.
Another travel related question ... anyone got any recommendations for any 'Travellodge type' hotels near/on the A4 toll road route back to Calais ?0 -
There are loads of hotels just off the motorway, Accor offer a range from F1, the cheapest, no en suite, showers down the corridor, Etap, similar but en suite shower and loo, Ibis and Novatel, more like a Travel Lodge, looking at around €35-60 per room. On the website click advanced search options then itinerary, to find hotels on route, or enter a City and then map.
Lots of other reasonably priced rooms HERE0 -
We are visiting DLP in June and staying in a Disney hotel for 4 nights. We also want to visit Paris by train - we will leave our Disney hotel on 2 June (just found out it's a French Bank Holiday!) and want to book into a cheaper, more basic hotel nearby to use as a base for 1 night. Main requirements are that the rooms will sleep 2 adults and 2 children and is within walking distance of train station - Ibis rooms do not seem to sleep 4. Can anyone suggest somewhere for us, thanks?:)0
