clairey1208 wrote: »Hi we're using the Sun deal & staying over at the end of March. Just wondering what you did with your one day - did you stay in the main park or do both parks? The kids are small so have no interest in the bigger faster rides & there doesn't look a lot for them in studios apart from cars and toy story playland. Thanks
BUT if there is something they really want to go on in the studios then go there first ,as the queues for cars, parachute drop etc can be huuuuge! even slinky & carpets of agrabah was 40 mins
we were there on a sunday ,if you are going midweek it will be quieter of course
it's our 6th time since 2006 so this was purely a rides trip, didn't watch any of the parades or get charaacter autographs etc
Have a lovely time

just got back from our disney trip with the sun, kids had a great time but don't think I would go again in Feb as there were no characters wandering round and noticed all the re furb stuff to. Also if you are going on a sun deal I would check your ferry times as our confirmation said 06.40 ferry going out but when we turned up at Dover Tuesday morning there was no 06.40 ferry it was the 07.20. I know its not much difference in time but I was a bit annoyed they had not informed me and we had to wait longer.
i felt the same
but at least it was cheap !
did you do the whole thing in one day ?!0 -
Well, from my post above, I called TC and there were no kids on the booking. They said they would speak to the hotel but I called Disney instead.
They confirmed their site was not working and would email the people to sort it out, however, I have rebooked 3n/4d for £545.40 with them to stay in Santa Fe. The lady on the phone was lovely and told me that it would be cheaper than getting the shareholder discount. I have cancelled my booking with TC and got a £18 penalty but the £545 and £18 is still cheaper than the £577 that Thomas Cook charged initially so I am happy with that price to know that the kids are definately on the booking.
So if anyone else is interested it is Kids under 12 stay and play free until November and up to 20% off the booking price. If you cannot get the offer to work on the Disney website call them. Call the Discount Dial number 0844 200 90 90 first, before dialling to talk for just 0.5p/minute! use number 0033 1 60 30 60 53 and it'll get you through to the UK call centre and it'll be just 0.5p a minute instead of the usual Disney number which costs more. PLUS you can pay a 10% deposit with the balance to pay later (I thought this would be easier for us as by then the Thomas Cook refund would have been applied).
Whoooooooo we are going to DLP again!!!!!!!!0 -

Where it says 'search for hotels in' put in disneyland paris and you can trawl through the hotels and they are there, choose 'other room options' under the Disney hotel you want (there should be an arrow you can click on to show there are more room choices) and you can get the prices with tickets too, it will say 'all tickets stay'. I thought only Explorers would come up but all the Disney hotels came up.
I have, however, noticed it is the exact same layout as Expedia so I think they are one and the same company trading under different names and the Expedia site will work in the same way. You can also get 8% back on Quidco for hotel bookings on TC or 12% for hotel bookings on Expedia. You can also add flights to the booking with TC. You do have to pay up front in full.
HOWEVER, DLP are cheaper so unless you have some sort of substantial discount, book with DLP direct, call them and ask for a price as they will have up to date ones. TC wanted to charge me £842 for the exact same holiday DLP charged me £545 for.0 -
Also to note: June 2nd is a bank holiday in France and the price of rooms to stay from 1st June for that weekend, doubles and the park will be packed to the rafters. Bear this in mind as it is a UK school holiday too. if you are going to go, go the weekend before.0

Hello! I am shortly going to book a ferry crossing with campervan to France and stay outside Paris area, we may even take a train to Paris while we are there.
I know there are sometimes offers on disney tickets with French rail or ferries.
Does anyone know of other offers before I book for Disney tickets?
We would consider 1 night in disney accommodation for the parents and child in the party,if there were any benefitsIf you don't leap, you'll never know what it is to fly :heartpuls0 -
