    Hi
Im wondering if anyone can answer a few questions for me.

Me and DH (well mainly me) are looking to take our kids to DLP in September, im assuming from the DLP calendar that is the cheaper month to go, the kids will be 1 and 3 when we go, were not bothered too much about the kids being young as we would most likely be going again a few years down the line, but anyway.

What is usually the best/cheapest way to travel, we do have a car and would be covered with insurance and our car is good on juice but its old and we havent had it long so wouldnt be totally trusting of it travelling all that way, just incase, would we be best staying in a hotel on the way to break the travelling up, we are from Wakefield.

And now for hotels, we dont have loads of money but would like to stay in the best hotel for value for money, can anyone suggest from experience which one they consider best for value for money.

    Thanks for any responce.

In August you could wait considerably longer than an hour for some of the rides. We've been in February and November and had a lovely time on both occasions, yes it did rain some days but it didn't spoil our fun and the parades still went ahead...November was particularly special as it was Christmas in the parks. Queues for some of the rides were over an hour then, and that was out of season (it wasn't school holidays) We are planning our next trip to DLP in May/June.

    Hi All

My son is 3 in May, and I'd like to take him to Disneyland Paris around this time. Is this is a bit too young? Would he get much out of it, or am I better off going in a year or so? I'd also be going on my own with him. :)

I think he would love it. I just wanted to respond to your post from the point of view of going on your own with your child - I'm a single parent and have done DLP twice and will be going again this year, it's a great single parent holiday :)

it tends to be the adult rides with the longest ques and a few kids rides but the wait time is always displayed on the entrance. ive not been august but been school holidays and found that after lunch was busy, before lunch we waited upto 10 mins for a ride

also during august youll get emh if you stay at a disney hotel which is great as its access to fantasyland the kids rides so you get to ride the little ones rides before they park opens

Hi there, we got back last weekend from DLP with our 3 and 3 year old! I can't help about the travelling, we are in Scotland so flying was the only realistic option for us. We said in Disney's Santa Fe hotel and it was fine enough. It is the cheapest of their hotels, although sometimes their next one up, Cheyenne, is cheaper. The Santa Fe gets some bad reports but our room was fine for sleeping in. I found the themeing of it ok, we were there for the parks, not the hotel! The Cheyenne apparently has great themeing, Wild West, but the rooms have bunk beds and the top bunk is recommended for over 6's. We requested a cot for our 1 year old and it was in our room on arrival. As I say though, it does get mixed reviews. I thought if our room wasn't suitable then I'd just ask to be moved! We had absolutely no problems and I wouldn't hesitate to book there again.

If you think I might be able to help with anything else then please just ask! I was pretty anxious about going with such young ones but it was fine.

Hope you get booked soon, you'll have a ball!

we have been in early august before, and the longest we queued was 60 mins ( it did say 80 mins on the board)

you have to expect queues / crowds in any school holidays
but TBH with the nicer weather and longer opening times it made up for it :)

we used EMH and fast passes as much as possible

we MUCH prefer summer holidays or oct half term to Xmas !! this was horrendous ( a wkend trip ) very cold and lots of pushing crowds etc ,not nice at all :(

We can only go in school hols / wkends ,so we are used to crowds / queues but Xmas was something else! ( if you have younger children then def go during term time!)

we just make sure we bring plenty of snacks / drinks ,so at least you don't have hungry / thirsty AND bored kids queuing ;)

most of the queuing areas have something to look at / talk about anyway ,so it generally doesn't feel all that long to wait, esp if the queue is constantly moving

    HTH a bit
