Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Going away to Disneyland at the end of April for 4 days and have paid up front for everything apart from meals/drinks and any souvenirs the kids would like.
How much spending money would be a good idea? We were going to take the half board option but decided against it so will need to cover our 2 meals.
There is 2 adults going and a 2 and 4 year old if that helps0 -
I've read quite a bit of this thread but not found anything specifically about kids having their birthday there. Apologies if it's been covered already & I didn't find it.
DD will have her 9th birthday the 2nd day we are there (3 days in total). Will we be able to get anything special for her other than the trip?
Never been to this resort although I have visited Disneyworld in Orlando many many years ago. DH & kids now really excited and we will be there in a fortnight!!!!0 -

cant answer how much you need as depends on your spending habits but an idea of cost:
the average burger meal costs around 10 - 12 euros for adults and about 7 for kids, your 2 year old may be ok having some of yours tho as if theyre like my dd was at 2 wont eat much
you can have a 3 course meal at cafe mickey for around 30 euros per adult and 15ish for kids. all you can eat buffets are free for under 3s and i recommend the restaurant des stars at studios its 21 euros per adult and your kids would eat free if your 4 year old looks young enough
coke, water, juice etc is 2.90 euros in the park but about 2 euros at train station outside. coffee, tea, etc was around 3 euros maybe a little more
there are water fountains in the park or you can fill up a bottle of juice frombreakfast
souvenirs range from 2 - 100s of euros. an autograph book can be picked up for 5 euros and a chunky pen was around 3 euros. kids plates, cups etc again from 6 euros per item, adult mugs we got some for 9.95 euros and bowls for the same 9.95 euros. clothing there is very expensive 25euros for a childs tshirt, costumes are around 60 eurosWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

I read on https://www.disboards.com, if you go to cityhall on their birthday they take your child aside and mickey mouse rings and when your child answers wishes them a happy birthday. Also you can order a birthday cake not sure how or if it needs doing in advance its best to ask on the forum mention above theyre very experienced..Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

Plaza Gardens do a birthday afternoon tea with the characters which includes a birthday cake and card at a reasonable price and the buffet includes savoury and sweet dishes served 3.00 and 4.30 pm. They don't give out birthday badges the way they do in WDW so make sure you buy your DD a card with a badge and the characters and cast members will notice and make a fuss of her.

Hi All
My son is 3 in May, and I'd like to take him to Disneyland Paris around this time. Is this is a bit too young? Would he get much out of it, or am I better off going in a year or so? I'd also be going on my own with him. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

I use another well known travel forum and this question has come up - the advice offered is to call Disney direct and you will (should) still get 40% discount. The offer is available for bookings made before the end of April

I dont think they will do another 40% until next year as they will change it to a different offer, ie one day one night free or under 12's stay and play free or free half board.
Also if you hang on the price of travel will have increased also.
For reference also Disney often have different availability on thier website to what they give to travel agents, so it may be worth ringing one to check availability that way.

Sequioa lodge or newport bay ? we are family with 2 kids aged 3 & 6 to go in august 10 . Like the fact of admirals floor as then not much queing for breakfast etc
Please help0 -
If you're going in August, queueing for breakfast will be the least of your worries...wait until you see the queues for the rides!! In the past 6 months we've stayed at Seq.Lodge and New York. To be honest the difference in hotels was hardly noticeable, they were basically the same just with a different theme. And after a full day at the parks all we wanted to at night was collapse into bed, so paying for all the "extras" like swimming pools etc. seemed a little pointless (though we did use the rather child un-friendly pool at Seq.Lodge one evening)0
