    Hey all,

I am getting really excited about our trip to DLP. It will be me, dd and my mum, first time there so wanted to stay in a Disney hotel, I booked Sequoia (in hotel) last week. Checked again last night and were showing New York to be really reasonable, called travel agent this morning they've changed us over to the New York for an extra £50, hoping this is a good move??

Have decided after much debate NOT to use the meal plans, I'm veggie and pretty fussy, after looking on other boards at pics of food/menus etc have decided would rather pay £20 for an edible pizza than £44 for something I won't eat.

Anyways we're flying from Man to CDG, does anybody have any tips for the best way to get to DLP from the airport? and roughly how much each option costs? am trying to budget as best I can :cool2:

never stayed here but have read excellent eviews and its right next to the disney village so literally a minutes walk to the parks, its 4 stars too so id say a good move
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.

The prices you quote seem fairly reasonable for August to me.

Have you thought of using Tesco Clubcard points for your crossing. You can't get the ferry anymore, but you can use EuroTunnel. We always save our points for this.

If you are happy to try offsite I really like the Magic Circus or the Kyriad. The Kyriad has a slightly more relaxed, adult feel imho. It's usually pricey, but the Marriott at the golf course is nice. For a good budget option I like the Adagio apartments, but they are further out (though probably no more than Davy Crockett).

I'm not sure of the season dates, but you want to make sure you don't miss the summer entertainment (fireworks etc. if they have them) by a day or so which is possible at the end of August so I'd watch for that.

    Hi
The hotels on the outskirts dont have 40% off so arent working out cheaper at the moment

As mentioned earlier my sister has special requirements and most trips have been fine, but on the odd occasion we've needed assistance the Disney people have been 100% fantastic. Have you spoken with anyone in the UK to discuss your needs? There is a number on the website to discuss special assistance etc. and they're very helpful.

well we needed assistance last year when we went and they were all most helpful

this year we are going to Disneyland Hotel, and its a bit different now. Apparantly they have no special rooms left.
We would have liked one with a fridge if they do one.
We have to take her specially formulated feed, that has to be kept refrigorated.
They have said they will keep it in the fridge in reception, but i dont think they understand how much stuff we have!
5 days worth, and each one is 2litres of feed in what is like a carrier bag!
My travel agent (personal friend) has been on the case to them.

Just back from dlp today - went into Paris yesterday - we paid 45 euros for 2 adults and 2 children for a paris visite card which gives you travel into Paris and around on Metro for that day - dead easy to get to.

we flew into CDG and used RS transports for a private transfer to dlp - came out as £122 for the return trip for four which wasn't much more expensive than the bus - arrived on time, very comfortabe.

Yes you can get the tickets just at the station at DLP. We then took the train to Charles de Gaulle etoile which brings you out at Arc de Triomphe.

As for amusing a 5 year old in the line - first thing make sure they have been to the toilet before! I had a 9 yr old and 6 yr old and luckily the queues weren't too bad and while we waited we tended to study the map and plan where to go next .
